BEWARE: [email protected] & [email protected]

I believed that she is a Filipino woman, 31, living and working in China. She is beautiful, charming, understanding, tender, loving, and seemingly deceitful!
And that’s without ever seeing her in person…I’m talking about Liezel Arcelo whom I believe is partnered with a Mr. Wilson Lee of Global Supreme Travels in China.

I met her on Cherry Blossoms and things immediately started rolling and I was hooked. She claimed to be an English tutor for a wealthy Chinese family’s 3 daughters, living in their household which also included a limo driver, maid, family cook. I suspect this could have been true but as a side job, she and Mr. Lee are running this scam which I read about but didn’t think I would also fall into. Long story (1.5 months worth) short…I gladly gave up money to have Mr. Lee get Liezel a visitor’s visa, airline tickets, and travel health insurance, all the time believing that this girl was as much in love with me as I believed I was in love with her. She claimed to have not had any savings so I also had to send money to have an account set up to satisfy US laws regarding financial responsibility when visiting the US. So at the 11th hour, she was allegedly caught at the airport in Guangzhou trying to get through customs with a gold statue given to her by her employer; this after her teaching contract was up and she was to be moving to the USA to be with me. After expending a total of $7200.00 that can not be recovered, supposedly for various expensed related to this situation, I now understand that my basic emotions have been manipulated and my good intentions taken advantage of.

Sad thing is there are a few stories on the Internet which I read that so parallel my experience but I chose not to believe My Girlfriend could be like that to me. We did YM 2 or 3 times a day for more than a month and from the conversations, it is tough to tell anything might be amiss. The activity surrounding the detainment of Liezel at customs was so believable…Mr. Lee first called me to give me the news. Then he said he had to go to customs to release her and he’d call me when that happened. So there was time between his phone calls of about 3 hours…roughly the time it would have taken him to get to the airport, since China was just coming off their National Holiday and traffic was heavy. Then when I spoke to Liezel, she was devastated and upset and crying to me and told me she was scared…all the things that hit me emotionally, so of course I was in agreement that the money I previously sent her for an account necessary to secure her visa should be used to pay the authorities to get her released. Then the gold statue became the issue…it found its way into a shipping company that wanted $5000 to ship it to my doorstep in the USA. Who knows how much the import fees would have been…I declined that, at least, but she used another $1000 of my money to allegedly get the statue released from customs. She refuses to take my phone calls; Mr. Lee, the ‘travel agent” has called her to complain about my requests from him for Customs documents to prove this even occurred. This I know because she told me on our very last conversation that he did call her after I spoke to him. Why would a travel agent call his customer to complain about the person financing the trip??

It seems to have been very well thought out and well executed and now $7200 into it, I am finally glad it’s over.
