I have been contacted by two people on facebook in October 2012, pretending to be soldiers. One is named Tyler Purdie Williams, the other Lyon Gilbert. There are two more friends of theirs Mark Josh and Johnson Bright, all fake photos. They all had new profiles with mainly a few female friends. Tyler said he was an undercover soldier and could only be contacted on yahoo messenger and FB.
He would chat for hours and ask lots of questions to which I only gave general answers. He would not give a postal address in Afganistan, called me Angel and Babe. Within a week he said he had feelings for me, yeah right, and would pay for myself and my four children to live in the US, that he would not allow me to work, again alarm bells going off for me, and would provide everything. He would ask the same questions the two times we spoke on messenger and seemed to forget personal events I had told about previously.
I picked up real quick that I was talking to more than one person. He asked for photos on a secure line, hoping for nudity I assume, which I quickly refused. I have alerted women on fb, but whether it does any good who knows. He said he lost his flash drive so could not send more pics, yeah right, to which I said just take some more. He refused to video chat saying he had secret status. Hmmm.
I worked for the US Navy sending personnel to Antarctica, so knew he wasn't for real. Real soldiers don't have time to chat for hours, they're too busy. The forces provide everything for all personnel, I know. We even had to try to find orange pumpkins for halloween to send down to the ice. Don't be fooled, any relationship you keep with scammers is only to fleece your pockets and send you broke!
