Lieutenant in US Army in Afghanistan says she needs a transit authorisation to come to UK. Then sends you a scam email address to send the application that you have to do..then fill in a document with all your personal details.

Thanks to this site, I was able to see through her before any personal details were sent.

Welcome to scamwarners, and I'm pleased to learn the these forums helped you.

Maybe you could 'copy/paste' and post an e-mail from the scammer that shows the e-mail address (but be sure to remove your own)

This will help other people who might be searching for the scammers details.

Hi!

Yes, unfortunately have just had the "opportunity" to have the same experience! Exactly the same! Leave form to fill out with strange looking form you have to put your personal details on with the american flag as back ground. These guys are not that clever though, just go to google and type in their email address. eg. larry_cole29@yahoo and you will be amazed at what you find. I have also installed a IP tracking programe which gives the location where the mail is coming.

What ever you do, don't send any money ever. As soon as they ask you for money you know you are being scammed and never give out personal details, like ssn/id number bank accounts or even your address/tel number.
Above email address [email protected] has actually confirmed he is a scamer when I caught him out. I have loads of info on him. Please be careful.

Could both Debbie and Avolon please post or email me me some of the emails you received from this scammer.

Scammers send prewritten replies in the early stages that are generally the same for each person they try to scam, by having a copy of those emails posted, other victims are more likely to find this post and be spared from being scammed by him, especially when the emails are the same.

Please be sure your own details are removed before posting, if you have any trouble or doubts, emailing them to me is fine too.
