Halloween, for him, is less about getting dressed up and going to a party than taking a road trip to a remote pumpkin patch, picking the perfect pumpkin (which, by the way, can be akin to the tree in Charlie Brown's Christmas), and bringing it home to carve while we bake the seeds. (But he is social and likes parties, too!) He kills spiders, fixes stuff, and reaches for that thing I need off the top shelf. He is a man's man. He lets me be (and wants me to be) a woman.
