Information on romance scams and scammers.

Good day, I suspect that I've been targeted in a dating site - this is the lastest email I receive. I almost fell for offering to pay part of the travelling (visa, air ticket, passport) costs, but something told me to google further on dating scams, especially from the Ukraine. The emails were always sent a cerain time from an internet cafe. I sent a reply to thie email below that unfortunayely I could not send money, and advised against travelling to visit me, as a hint that I suspect not so kosher intentions. However, I've shared a lot of personal details, photos only of my dogs and cars, but not me. Even sent a Christmas card with my return address on it. I have not received a reply yet to my short (refusal) email. What to do next? Here is the email.

"She" probably dropped you. (I've had one encounter with an East Slavic scammer. "She" said "? ??????? ?? ??? ?????" (I have never been married), which is the masculine form. The feminine is "? ??????? ?? ???? ???????".) If she doesn't say anything more, just forget and keep looking. I hope you find a good match!

Even if you do hear something from "her" again I would strongly advise you to forget it anyway. It is a scam. He has your real life details but thankfully not your money. Just drop all contact and you'll be fine.
