Hi all,
I met this guy on seniorconnect.com. He posed as a soldier in Afganistan. The email address he was using is :[email protected] He had pictures and everything.
He was promising marriage, love, the whole pie. After 3 weeks he told me that he would be promoted to patrol leader of his squad and would probably die,if i didn't write to " [email protected]" to request his release. I told I would do that, but that I would need his service#, and Military address to do that. he told me that the email was an address on post and that I would not need that info. what? since when? Well, I wrote the letter for him, but when I looked on line, "rescueteam.com " was an online game! I told him that I knew of a Col. in the army, that might grease the rails for him and he became very upset and said that I just wanted him to die over there. A few days later he emailed me,asked if I would keep a check for him, that he would withdraw from a Bank in Malayasia. But that I would need to pay for courier service and fees. the amount of the check would be $350,000 and that he would pay me back as soon as he was home and we were together. He stated that I needed to money gram $1100.00 to cover those expenses and that he would pay that back also. I told him that i did not have that amount of money available on such notice and he wanted to know if I could borrow it and send send it asap.
Bu this time I was really thinking that this was a scam and I told him so, he told me not to worry about it then, that he would accept the posting and probably die over there. I told him, that if he had to accept the post, then why could he not decline it as well?Bottom line I told him that this was a scam and that I was no fool, he could have my heart, but not my wallet! I have not heard from him since.
This all started on the 3rd of Dec and ended on the 18th of dec.
