I haven't been given the email address he is using, just the free lawyer.com one, which would certainly never be used by the US military.
As has been pointed out here recently, leave never ever has to be paid for. Fake documents and stolen photos can be seen here. viewtopic.php?f=28&t=6593
I doubt that there is a real Major Collins Johnson, but if there is, he is not responsible for the scam.

This scammer also asks victims to send a mobile phone to him via someone with an address in the USA. Probably another scam victim under the impression she has a genuine job redirecting packages, etc.
