Whatever the scam and the story the best approach is to keep the wallet shut and never send anyone money. Don't cash cheques and accept nothing. The only time I used Western Union was to send money to my wife and I would never use it to send money to someone I had not met face to face. Once all people follow simple rules above this site can shut down.
