I'm new on this site. And actually it's quite late for me to know this site. I've lost some items to Ghana scam. I hate facebook now. I don't know what's wrong with me to get this scam. I set nothing on my facebook account.
2 weeks ago, somebody introduced himself as Bradley Becker, he is a widower, his wife died 7 years ago. He has two sons who are studying at Maritime University in Accra, Ghana. And he is an officer who currently posted in Iraq as one of the commander there. And he was pushing me to accept his two sons as his own and gave me their email address [email protected] and their contact number +233241403993. His email address was [email protected] and later he made a new email [email protected].

Of course I became curious and I tried to find out about Bradley Becker in internet. I found the information about Brig Gen Bradley Becker on internet saying that BG Bradley Becker is really a Deputy Commanding General - Support for Schofield Barracks Hawaii. Him and his wife Sherri has 2 sons Derek and Andrew. And about the university I found on wikipedia that there's Regional Maritime University in Accra, Ghana.
I am a woman, and truthfully I never got any sweet fairy tale email like the one above. Swayed? For sure yes. But though I was swooned by his email, the healthy part of my brain was still working. I keep looking for the informations about BG Becker on internet. And finally I found his promotion facebook page in 2011. I was curious to read the comments under it and one comment was fortunately from his younger brother Bob Becker.
So I browsed Bob Becker's facebook page and I found the General's facebook page has been deactivated and his wife's Sherri still active to January 2013.
And then I confronted the person who introduced himself as Brig Gen Bradley Becker, why his wife's facebook page still active to January 2013 if she died 7 years ago. He said that the last thing he want to do is to hurt me and to stay away from google and asked his sons about that and convinced me that his wife was dead.
Though I lost a Galaxy Note 10.1 and some branded clothes to this scam that I sent through DHL with very expensive charge to Ghana from Kuwait, my brain kept questioning something was wrong here.
He looked convincing by sending some real pictures of BG Becker in Iraq and inside his home. Then I found the real interview video of BG Becker couple days ago. I feel sorry for this humble friendly man to be used as the bait by scams to get some money. And the scams were so clever to use the handsome General as the bait. I guess if any of you read the sweet romantic emails and look at BG Becker's pictures, you could not help yourself to fall in love with him.
I know there's Nigerian scam, and the method of operation was not like this. And I didn't think that any sane person would use high rank officers as the bait for the victims. But again I was wrong, yesterday I found that even Gen Petraeus name was used as the bait.I didn't know about Ghana Scam US Soldiers in Iraq, though.
My brain questioning was answered when his son sent me an sms (yes how stupid of me to give my phone number) that their passports were almost expired and they needed some money to renew it, beside that they needed money for medical check up and to pay their exams.
That's it. If BG Becker actor was quite patient, his counterpart was not. How could the sons of a general finding difficulties to renew their passports?
And after that the fake BG Becker asked me to send USD 1800 to pay the passport renewal and so on. My infatuations to BG Becker flew away at once after this.
My suggestions for those who got the scams like this is to search everything about the people they use as the baits. Google helped me a lot.
If you asked me if we had voice chat or video chat we did try them. But unfortunately, there were some problems with my net connection. So every time we tried to chat, we had the problems to connect. I blamed my network connection for that.

I did thank him for making me feel alive again and for teaching me a big lesson........ I refuse to hang my head down for being played a fool. I let it happen. But I can guarantee this will never happen again to me. So be safe ladies............Like I said earlier.........he is a sweet talker.
