I'm inquiring about a [email protected]. My niece is in contact with him and tried to write him and the email bounced back. She asked me to do it and same thing. The difference is I know how to read the reports. I, stated this person has no yahoo email. I, believe he is a scammer.

Says he is in Afghanistan.

Welcome, Sketchbookgirl. :D

There isn't much we can tell on an email address if there is nothing showing up in searches. It's very possible that the account was closed because someone reported it as being used for a scam.
Many scammers do impersonate soldiers stationed in Afghanistan. Please see this topic for more information: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=6527

Do you have any other information on this person that you can give us so we can help you research? The text of any early emails are helpful, because those are usually copied scripts. Phone numbers and photos are also helpful.

Have you sent a payment to a scammer with Western Union and now realize it's a scam? If the payment has not been picked up, you can cancel it immediately! 1-800-448-1492
