Hi there my (love) case is fairly typical to all of the others except on Valentines Day I recieved a gift basket from Sherri's Berries , when I went on line this basket sold for about $100.00 then a few days ago he tells me that he has shown me that he loves me and that I need to send him a token in return...He admittedly is from Lagos, Nigeria I have pages upon pages of stuff he has emailed me, pictures, phone numbers, texts, etc....I'm a little overwhelmed by all of this can you give a little guidance?

Never send money by Western Union/Moneygram.
Never give personal information.
Online anyone can claim to be anyone, any age and from anywhere.

Internet scammers aren't known for spending their own money. I hate to worry you, but it's possible that the flowers were paid for with a stolen credit card and your home address is the only one linked to the transaction.
It would be a good idea to report it to Sherri's Berries and the police, before they contact you.

Hi janiedunbar and welcome to ScamWarners. Scammers sending gifts isn't that rare, actually. They've been known to send flowers or chocolates. As Arnold said, they will have been paid for with a stolen credit card. There's not much risk of you being held responsible but you could contact the place you received the flowers from and let them know that the card used was by a scammer and they should report it as stolen. That may help whoever the owner of the card is if it's not already been detected.

Have you sent a payment to a scammer with Western Union and now realize it's a scam? If the payment has not been picked up, you can cancel it immediately! 1-800-448-1492

I contacted the company and the authorities....just in case it was stolen.

It's just as well. Obviously, nobody is likely to send flowers to herself with a stolen credit card, but any police enquiries would involve you.
I baited a scammer a year or so ago, posing as a 10 year old girl. He told me to use my father's credit card to pay his dating site subscription. They will stoop to anything.
Incidentally, when you quote a post, you can add your comment to it. There's no need for two postings.
