Hi there freeman, sorry you had this bad experience.

I'm sure a more experienced member will answer your message soon but let me try to help in the meantime.

If I understand you correctly, he supplied a certificate by email that showed your details? Don't worry, that will be a fake certificate, it was designed to fool you into sending money, but it can't be used against you as any true police will know he has forged it. Besides, as a scammer he is hardly likely to alert the police to what he is doing!

This person is trying to scare you to shake more money from you.
My suggestion would be to simply freeze all communication. As this person has your personal details, do not antagonise them but be calm and make clear you will offer no further money. Not one penny. He will lose interest and move on to other potential targets.

I think a more experienced member here will advise you to post the picture to prevent this person from scamming others, but please wait for confirmation.

Hello freeman.
It must be pointed out there was no soldier. It is a scammer pretending to be one. Was the 'certificate' needed to transfer a large sum of money to you? It will be a scam because real military personel do not behave in that fashion. If you worry for the scammer has your mobile phone number, contact your phone provider. Ask them to block calls from the scammer phone or locality. Maybe ask them to block all calls except local ones. You can always change it back after. Or if not ask for a new number but I realise the inconvenience of this. Not matter the scammer know your name or address because the scammer will be too scared to visit and cause trouble. If the trickster did visit your address, it's true identity would be known and it will avoid this. I have previously given personal details to a russian scam syndicate with no adverse effects happening. Please do not worry. Simply stop all communications with the tosser because everything it's told you is a lie. Could you please publish the e-mail address of the trickster and name it uses. Does the con artist have a phone number? Could you publish an e-mail header because it should indicate the origin. Is there any other info you could give because it will help others in future.
I am sorry the scammer has wasted your time.

The deliveryman site appears to be real. Has been registered since 1996 and receives about 10 hits per day, so looks like someone may be piggybacking on it? I did a search on 3 of the photos but unable to find anything. Are you able to publish some of the text you received? Maybe publish the email whereby money was asked from you? And do not worry of your English, it is fine.

deliveryman.com is a legitimate free email service that anyone can signup for an account. These domains are commonly used by scammers to add credibility to the scam.

It is ALWAYS a scam
If the pet seller or shipper asks for money to be sent via Western Union, Money Gram, any brand of gift card. Walmart To Walmart , Zelle , PayPal friends and family option, or mentions Cameroon

Thank you freeman. If you scroll to the top of this page, you see the site search box on the right hand side.
Type in the words, diplomat scam. The results that show on the screen will amaze you. They all have a familiar theme. Sad to say that apprehending the wanna be trickster will be extremely difficult. As you have posted the name and email address used by the tosser, people conducting an internet search will be less likely to be conned. Your report will save someone in the future.
