What can you tell me about this guy? He got very upset when I refused to buy his son an iPhone 5 or something comparitable for his birthday. He was trying to make me feel guilt by saying he was going to spend that much on me for my gift, which I had celebrated right after we started chatting. Every time we chatted that was the first thing he asked me! Then he texted me and said I had changed, I wasn't the woman he first met! I know a controller/manipulator when I meet one, even online. I have since removed him from getting in contact with me, but I just wanted to verify that I was right about this scammer also!

Can you post one or two of the emails he sent you?

The writing will often tell us a lot, including whether he is likely to be African.

Edit to add: Oops, I added this response to the wrong thread.

There is no question this is a scammer. Legitimate people on dating sites don't start demanding iPhones from people they have just met, period.
