This man found on match.ccm is a scam. Same story found repeatedly on here. Estonian/ Scottish parents, widowed. Worked in Johannesburg -degree from Russia. Script identical in parts to others on here. Professed his love before the day after telling me he'd had his wallet and phone stolen and needed to buy a replacement but didn't have the money! Alarm bells rang -delete him. Please be warned.

Yes the one and only said with tongue firmly in cheek! Is the photo the actual scammer or the victim of identity theft? More information would be welcome.

The photo used by the scammer is stolen off the internet. The real person in the photos has nothing to do with the scam. The scammer who is writing you is almost certainly a young African man, not a middle-aged Caucasian.

Sometimes scammers will actually use the name of the real person in the photos in their scams, but more often they will just take the photo(s) off the internet and make up a new name.

Given that there is so much information that can be found with very little research , I find it annoying and quite disturbing that subscription dating sites dont do more to protect their clients.
