I am not sure...

I have looked at this page to see if I can become wiser about my problem.
I've chatted with a guy for 2 months .. not every day but often.
He is a U.S. soldier in peacekeeping missions in Yemen.
We talked and exchanged thoughts during this time and he told me a little the United States and himself. Sometimes he can not go online for several days because of bad connection or patrol duty.
I met him on Badoo, and he also has a Facebook account with over 600 friends so it is undoubtedly a real account ....?
Now he wants to come to my country and visit to see if we feel the same. He is on leave for two weeks.I have fished a bit and asked if it not would be expensive for him, but he says that the U.S. military pays well and he has access to his accounts. No problems with other words.
Some facts: He is 42 years old, divorced with a 14 year old dotter.Han is SSG sergeant and his IP address shows Iran or border into Yemen. I asked from the beginning of a military email address and he said yes, he has, but he uses his private instead. and now it feels a little silly to ask again ... Like I said, I met him on Badoo on the first day I joined. Both his parents are alive and his daughter lives with her mother, his ex wife. I have searched all the signs of a scammer and it's something I can not put my finger on ... if it is that he writes i am instället for I am .. or that he is now want me to finish my Badoo page ... or that I have not spoken to him on the phone .. (he has tried to call the call was interrupted several times) ...

I'm so scared to hurt him if there actually is so that he is genuine. Them boys needs all the support they can get. but if he's not , I feel even more stupid ... anyone who can tell me how to do without hurting ... how and which questions I should ask.
I've done all the searches that are recommended ... and find nothing suspicious. But anyway .. it's something .. maybe just me being overly suspicious .. Sorry if was a long explanation ..

This is a list of all UN peacekeeping missions. Note that there is no peacekeeping mission in Yemen.

There are American troops in Yemen, but they are not part of a peacekeeping mission, and any soldier would know that. This is a pretty big red flag. Combined with the excuses for not calling, wanting you to delete your profile, and the "bad connection" storyline, you definitely have legitimate reason to be concerned.

If he wrote to you in English, I may be able to tell you whether he is really American based on his English. If you would like me to do that, you can forward some of his emails and/or chat logs to me at the email address in my signature line (remove the spaces first.) Please provide a link to the facebook page as well. If he sent you translated letters, it may be harder but it might still be possible.

One other question on the facebook page... Do you know for certain that he owns the page (e.g. has he messaged you from that page or received messages from you sent to that page?)

If we can't tell from the English, we can help you with some questions to ask that will help a lot.

I have searched for the email where he says that he is actually in the UN peacekeeping force. We're talking about the UN for a while because I have friends who served there ... I could be mistaken, I'm afraid. The only thing he says is that they train dogs at camp ....
I have not added him as a friend on facebook .. and he has never asked either. Should I ask him if he want me to add him on my facebook? Then, I can check out a bit more ..? This is so confusing ..
