I met Brandt Westengard back in April. He wrote me a lot of convincing emails. We became really close, we exchanged phone calls everyday all day long. He made me believed that he was a religious person. I never suspected anything about him until I became a victim. He scammed my bank account and stole almost $8,000.00. I had reported it the the police and submitted his pictures.

If you are talking to Brandt Westengard, please stop it now. You can check and inquire to the police station here In Elk Grove California about the report I had submitted back in June. He is a big time scammer. As I was reading the emails he sent to one person that posted about him here, I was so shocked that he sent the same email to me.

Be ware of this person, don't be a victim

It's unfortunate that you were scammed by a love scammer. These scams are ones that hurt the most, both emotionally and financially.

Could you by chance post up his e-mail address, any phone numbers he used, and first few e-mails he sent to you? Remove your own name and e-mail address of course.

Scammers always operate on scripts, and having the data I asked can help other potential victims realize what's going on before it's too late.

Also, there's a chance you may be contacted by e-mail from someone claiming to be a law enforcement agency, detective, or similar. He'll say that he can get your money back, but for a fee. Make no mistake, this is just another scam - they're called recovery scams. Any money sent will be lost forever, just like in the first case.

He wants me to know about what a wonderful person and lover and father he is. He swears to God and on his daughter's life he will never lie because he loves you. He wants calls and kisses on the phone. He said he had to go to Malaysia to deal with multi-million dollar contract and then he is "stuck" there. More expenses than he thought and didn't understand the currency exchange of Malaysia, so I need to send him prepaid, risk free (of course!) debit cards...it seems harmless since I don't have to invest any money and I can really help this man who promises me a life of love and security. He says he prays and goes to Church. He is soooo convincing. I am a fool. He wants me to send YM Discover Prepaid Debit cards to Malaysia. I did...now what will he do with them...in my name, with my social security number? What a fool I was! He preys on vulnerability and seems so wise and careful. i should have known he was too quick to say "I love you." "I will never lie to you because I love you."
Then I get spooked even more when his [email protected] suddenly changes it's "profile name" to Brandt Crawford. He is shocked of course and has no idea what I am talking about. He gets angry. He knows so much personal information about me...I am actually panicked, but it's probably not the forte of scammers to violently confront their victims...just move on. I will cancel the debit cards and learn from this, but I still wonder what negative consequences are yet to unfold because of my stupidity and his cunning evil.

Yes, he got me too. For over two months. What a con artist! He is seriously disturbed but also very good at what he does. I'm so angry at myself for falling for this. He is evil person. Sorry he got you too. I shared my story in the appropriate place here about what he talked me into doing with prepaid debit cards to Malaysia. He was using a 410 area code phone number. For me he was using [email protected]...then it changed to Brandt Crawford. He was on Friend Finder. He copy/pasted me an email that said "Dear...." and it was another woman's name. What a fool I was for believing his lies...I kept getting suspicious and he would somehow convince me why I was confused and he was soooo sorry.

I thought he might be leaving me alone. But he's back. Now he's threatening me that if I don't call back I will regret it and he's posting to my FB explicit pictures and saying "is just the beginning" he is going to ruin my "Carrier" which I know he means career. He is calling me bitch and saying I stole HIS money...what a crazy luncatic! I reported him to FB as harrassment. He sent a friend request to my husband on FB. I guess if he posted pics I sent him and then "tags" me in them, they appear on my timeline, so I delete/hide/report but other "friends" of mine are now messaging me that I got hacked so they are obviously seeing too. When I closed the prepaid debit card I sent him, I think it might have "trapped" the money he had put on it and now he thinks I stole the money...ridiculous! I still feel like a fool that I gave him so much info he easily could ruin my reputation if he wanted to. I have tried to contact the person who is supposedly taking complaints and working with police about this particular romance scammer, but never heard back. I am glad that you closed the prepaid card that you sent to him. When I found out what he did to me it was too late already, it was only $20+ left in the card. He took $4700.00 from my bank account that was loaded to that card. I have all the proof to show it to you. You may contact the Elk Grove police department about the reports that I sent to them back in June, so if you didn't send him money, can you please call the police department and enquire how to give it to them so that I could at least get my money back that he stole. Before that, I also had sent him $3700.00 plus the $600.00 upon arrival in Malaysia. I have all the proof to show you that this is how much he took from me. My daughter and I almost didn't eat, because we didn't have any money. My payday was still 2 weeks away when scammed me. So please contact the police department to enquire how to give my money back. Because what he did is transfer money from different prepaid card to another. I been praying so hard that one day, there is one person that will do this to him so that he could get his KARMA. Until now, I haven't recover from it, and I am still in a big hole financially from it.
