In Sept 2012 I was contacted via Facebook private message by "Lawrence David". His Facebook profile was quite empty, here is the profile pic:

Then some months later after not talking to him, I noticed his name changed to "Alrick Dav". The conversation went like this:

Sept 20/12 Lawrence: Hello, how are you? it's quite an honor meeting you here,i must say you look so cute and charming,... i think i'm sincerely interested in knowing you if you don't mind.. do take care and always keep in touch...i'm Lawrence

Nov 25/12 ME: Hi Lawrence, sorry for the delay in responding - Facebook puts some messages I receive in an "other" folder and does not tell me they are there. Where are you from? I don't think you are in Canada where I live. Me cute and charming? Maybe cute on a good day, if I don't say much. Not sure charming is what those who know me would call me! I use Facebook to stay in touch with people I know or knew "face to face", it surprises me when people I don't know outside the computer want to get to know me. I guess I am old
Take care yourself,

Lawrence: wow that's a lovely response from you. i had loads of activities yesterday been monday and i couldn't go online, that's by the way, my spirit tells me you must be fun to be with and there's no doubt about that. i was actually searching for an old school friend because that was what Facebook meant for, but when cued her name, suddenly you pooped out,i saw you, pick interest then i sent you a message which i know i have not committed a crime. However, thanks for making my Tuesday beautiful and i will always cherish this your first message to me. i resides here in Liverpool, the united kingdom or you don't believe in meeting new people in your life? anyway do have a blissful day ahead and don't forget i will be expecting to read more about you and your life style,

ME: Hi again Lawrence. I understand about being busy and not getting online often. I do enjoy meeting new people, but I have chosen to use Facebook to stay in touch with existing friends. It is easy to amass a large number of friends on Facebook but not as easy to manage all those virtual friendships. In the old days before e-mail and all the other electronic means of communication, I had pen pals and exchanged letters via ...... the post office! It is cute that you say your spirit says I must be fun to be with. I am in fact a curmudgeon. I have a dry, sarcastic, sense of humour and tend to see the glass as half full. My idea of fun is yard work, reading a book, wandering though the woods, watching documentaries, or volunteer activities that have me sitting in meetings, or cleaning up after animals. You, on the other hand, seem to have an open, optimistic view of the world. Also .... I know it was a typo, but I find it funny that Facebook "pooped" me out during your people search! Hope you had a great weekend. I took advantage of the mild fall weather here to finish yard work and re-organize my garage for the winter - loads of fun!

Lawrence: Good morning, it's Monday morning, if you are here with me with beautiful cold weather ,i have sent my morning kiss to you, i hope you received it. i was in the church yesterday and trust me i prayed and lighted candle for me and my friends, which you are one of them. it's a wonderful thing reading awesome message from you again,i appreciate you. well, it's written all over your face that you are more fun to be with.
anyway tell me more about yourself and your family? do you have a beautiful love life experience?

ME: Hi again, sorry for the delay - though I have a boring life, it is a busy one. You send me a kiss then ask about my love life? What are your intentions, sir? I once had a beautiful love experience that ended in a nasty divorce ... so again I don't have an uplifting story to tell. What is Christmas like in Britain? In North America it is a great rush to spend money, and in the interest of being "politically correct", all mention of Jesus, religion and even the word "Christmas" is getting erased from the season. I am not religious, but I don't like seeing the origin of the season masked. I will be spending time with friends and family, and taking the opportunity to relax, instead of getting dragged into the hype. What will your Christmas be like? All the best to you and your family,

Lawrence: what kept you busy? i thought you have forgotten me?

ME: Merry Christmas Lawrence. I have not forgotten you - just waiting to to hear something about you!

Lawrence: merry Christmas too, i thought i have told you much about me, what else do you want to know about me? i just wanted a serious relationship with you and if there's Chemistry in it we can be together.

ME: I am flattered, Lawrence, that you have a romantic interest in me. I don't know how it would work, though? We are on different continents and I have no spare money to travel to meet and then spend time with a distant boyfriend. At this time in my life I have no interest in any more distant moves. I also think I am a fair bit older than you. See - there is my glass-half-empty attitude again. All that aside, who knew a little, blurry picture of me taken with a cell phone would spark interest from across the sea! You have not really told me very much about yourself!

Dec 26/12 Lawrence: you know, sometimes i look at your profile picture, the things i saw in your eyes can't be told by only an Angel. you are so cute and i believe lots people inform you about this daily. whatever sad that happens to us doesn't kill but made us more stronger. it's only faith that conquer's what you desire that it's seems impossibility to you, if we believe we will always achieve, continental differences or distance means nothing when the spirit is willing. When two people are meant for each other, no time is too long, no distance is too far, and no one can ever tear them apart.time spent with the wrong person is less time with the right one. think about it.

I stopped replying because the sugary bullshit was getting too thick, this guy was not for real. Then the name switch, and I could not resist sending this message:

ME: Alrick Dav???? what happened to Lawrence David? LOL! Never mind, I know!

Alrick Dav: You know what?

ME: Scroll down till you see your photo ... either someone has stolen your photo, or you have stolen someone else's .... http://forascammer.blogspot.ca/2013/06/ ... tuais.html

Alrick Dav: is that what you mean by you know? all rubbish.

The profile pic vanishes and this info is at the end of the exchange: "You cannot reply to this conversation. Either the recipient's account was disabled or its privacy settings don't allow replies."
