Hello everybody!
I am glad to know I am not the only one who got caught in this kind of situation.
I have an OK Cupid Profile, and I check in from time to time. I have not met anybody personally, mostly because I am not living in the US, and because I am not really looking for it. I have this account so I can practice my english and at the same time meet new people.
A few weeks ago I was contacted by an user of OKC "Luvismilife". I did not reply his first message, because I was not interested in his profile. He insisted, so i politely said hi.
He immediately send me his email address: [email protected], and said: OKcupid was not a site to chat ??
Then he kept asking for me to join him on yahoo, and eventually I did.
Like I said, at first I was not interested.. but he started to tell me all kind of sad stories, and I did believe him.
After just one week He claimed to be in LOVE with me ¿?.. I told him this was very strange, not having met personally...
The guy kept writing, and i sincerely felt compassion and then sympathy for him.
Told me His name is Ron Edmonstone Kells, that his only child was lost on an accident, then he divorced and that this year his only relative, his mother, had passed away.
Ok, this was so sad, i felt committed to support this guy. In any case He was in a war to save the West from the dangers of terrorism Taliban.
And we became friends,We chat every day, and when we did not., I would get so worried about him..Is He ok, safe?
This last weekend he ask me for a favor, to buy an PS3 Console for Him. And I first said yes to him. Then he gave me the address of a Diplomat Mr. Henry Assomany :: 6501 Tower Dr. Apto 102 Alexandria VA 22306.
I looked for the PS3 console on Amazon told him the price, because I did not get the impression that I was going to paid for that.
He then said that he wanted an PS4 console, and I told him that that console was not available until november 4 2013.
Immediately he ask for an Apple Ipad Mini 64gb+WiFi Phone.
I am writing this the exactly way he asked for. I looked for the price, and immediately told him that was a bit expensive for me, even when it was a loan.
When I said the word loan, his tone change..like he was surprised I was not giving this to him.
And while this was happening with him, I looked for him on google and found u guys!
Well now I am sure this is a Scam!! Only hope that the real Ron Edmonstone is safe home, and for all you girls out there, just let go of this and keep smiling.
