Hello everybody!
I just found 3-4 days ago that i have been scamed. Have anybody heard something about a man who claims that is Colonel Frank Cochensparger, seving at Sudan War zone? I met him first in Badoo, after that start chatting in Facebook. He never asked me for money, but he told me that i must apply for his retire permission, and gave me e-mail address of the headquarted which is based in Malaysia???????!!!!!!. address is : [email protected]
They gave me instructionas about the charges an how to pay, The amount was about 17000 USD, part of it by Western Union, part of it by bank transfer, all to Malaysia. Unfortunately I didn’t hurt before anything about all these US Military scams, i am bulgarian cityzen, and i am so far away from these information, but after that I received another mail from United NationSecurity Center “representative”- Mr. Philip Mandy, that I have to go personally to Malaysia with another 35, 450 USD to sign personally documents for releasing the benefits of Frank Cochensparger from the UN tresor i started doubting that there is something wrong. E mail address of this Philip Mandy is: [email protected]
And the e-mail of Frank Cochensparger is: [email protected] and this is his Facebookk site: https://www.facebook.com/frank.cochensparger
I think this is a REALLY BIG SCAM, and how i was so stupid to believe that all the charges that i paye are refundable……but i saw all that just yesterday. If somebody can tell me more information about this soldier Frank Cochensparger, or is also a his victim like me, please contact me on my e-mail.

Unfortunately you are right. It is a scam. Unfortunately, Badoo is full of African scammers posing as men from the US and UK.

Your scammer is not an American soldier. He is not even American. He is almost certainly a young African man (most likely Nigerian, as there is a large cell of Nigerian romance scammers operating in Malaysia.)

The scammer may have sent you photos of a soldier, but he is not the man in the photos, and he doesn't know the man in the photos. He simply stole those photos from the internet and is pretending to be that man.

Mail.com and representative.com email addresses are free email addresses, just like yahoo or gmail addresses. They have no connection to the military of the US or any other country. US military addresses will end in .mil and nothing else.

Unfortunately, the chances of recovering any money you sent via Western Union are zero, and it is extremely unlikely you will be able to recover anything you sent by bank transfer as well. The scammer hides behind fake names and stolen photos so that the crime cannot be traced to him, making it impossible to hold him accountable for the money.

In the real US (and UK) military, you will NEVER be instructed to make a request on behalf of a soldier for phone, leave, retirement, or anythin gelse. You will never be asked to pay anything for a soldier. Soldiers must make requests for themselves--nobody from outside can make those request, not even wives. In addition, in the real military, there will never be fees to be paid for leave or retirement.

If you haven't done so already, it is best to cut off all contact with this scammer. If you confront him, he will only continue to lie. He is a criminal who lies for a living, and staying in contact with him will only hurt you more.

Scammers like to make threats, but in reality they are just pathetic little tossers sitting in a Cybercafe. They are too lazy to do real work, so the effort of carrying out their threats would be beyond them.

Just ignore/block their emails and they will eventually go away.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

He is sitting at a computer, hiding behind a fake name and stolen photos.

If he were to actually attempt to do anything to you, he would have to travel. He would need a passport and a visa, which cost money and may not even be possible for him. Then, he would be traceable. His real face would be seen by airport security, drivers, caught on surveillance cameras. He would no longer be able to hide. He could easily be caught, and he would go to jail. He knows this. He is a coward. He may talk big, but it's only fake words. He won't don anything, because he has no intention of putting himself in a position of getting caught.

Edit to add:

Hello they contact our war zone in our headquarter now that someone paste my pictures with my name on scam list and they are quarry me for that

Besides being a lying coward, he is also a complete moron. The real US military is well aware of these scams. They would not be going after a soldier whose photos were used. And, if someone in the US military received a report he the real soldier scamming, it would take about a minute for them to check out the story and establish, both from the pathetic English of the scammer and location traces, that the real soldier was not behind it.

Hi Bistra, I hope I can help you a little too. I am a former scam victim. Please first and foremost understand not to have any contact with this person ever again. The moderators know this well- this person is threatening you and your family but he will do nothing to you. It's another lie to go with the other lies you were told. It's to keep you hooked to him and now feeling sympathy for him.
I am so sorry you ended up giving him money you will never get back. I gave my scammer money too. I thought my guy was going to bring it back to me in person, come home to me and we were going to start a wonderful life together. They were days I would come home from work, praying there would be a car in my driveway with him in it. It never happened.
Please make sure you know you are safe. Don't talk to him at all, no matter how he pleads or threatens. Come here for help as you need it. Also, make sure you take care of you. It is hard to deal with all this- the hurt, the anger, the sadness because this person who said they love you isn't real. I also felt stupid, still do sometimes. Well, we were both smart enough to come here and get help. That says we may have given in but they didn't get the best of us.
