Just Skype talking, no email. Got a phone call today from him, static and bad connection. Not so British accent (I've lived there for years, I know the accents). Sounded suspiciously like a black person btw.
I asked about the accent, he said his mum is from Malta and he picked up the accent from her and looks from dad. I don't know if Maltese people are non-white but the dude in the pics look like very white to me and his age 37 seems a bit old for the pics he has on Badoo.com (I saved them on my computer).
His mum and dad were killed in an accident and he is the only child. I asked when he is able to go to his friends next time - said here's no friends (????). [14:30:33] Scott Chapman: Well i lost my parents both in a gasline motor accident (WTF is that anyway???)

Then I started digging up the net reverse img search didn't bring up anything. And found this site.

I also found this site: http://www.cid.army.mil/romance_scam.html but I don't know how does it apply for (fake?) British soldiers.

Although it was written about the US military, the key points are the same. Both military structures are built on the same basic premise of the chain of command.

You would NEVER apply for a military permit (or leave, phone, or anything else) for a British soldier. A real British soldier would apply internally through his chain of command, and you would have nothing to do with it.

The man on the phone sounded black because he IS black. Both the general pattern of the scam and the scammer's writing tell me that you are dealing with an African scammer.

As for the man in the photos? The scammer doesn't know him--he just stole his photos off the internet. If he looks it, he probably is much younger than the 37 years the scammer claims--the scammers don't know anything about the real people in the photos, and they routinely make major mistakes in guessing age, height, weight, nationality, and eye and hair color. I've seen them as far as 15 years off on age, and they can be off by 50% or more on height, weight, etc. But we never point these things out to the scammers, as we don't want to help them to improve their scams.

As for Badoo, it is absolutely loaded with scammers, and the "verified" status doesn't add ANY assurance that the person is real.

Please post the email address/yahoo ID this scammer is using, and just cut off all contact with him.

He tried to send something via Skype again (or in my case Kopete, for I am a Linux nerd, you see) and I suspect it is his artistic photo of my face on someone's lady-pars. I'm not that kind of a woman who sends my own pussy pics to any random people.

Anyways, he does know my phone number and my full name but there's nothing he can find out or do with that info - I work in a field that I have to have secret number and only officials (like police etc) can find out my address. And hey, if he wants to come here to "talk", welcome. I'm not afraid.

He will continue to threaten you to get a reaction. Just ignore him. They like to sound like they'd come after us but they wouldn't take the money to travel here. He's sounds like a really nasty type. Some have been known to try blackmail when women have sent personal pictures and that makes it even uglier. You must have made his life really inconvenient and that's great revenge.
