Please post the message he sent, including the address. We should be able to tell if he's a scammer just by the way he writes.

Hi Monica1965, the others have put this straightforward. Let me tell you another way you can tell this is a scammer. They will usually push you to use their regular email address right away or want you to chat with them. This way, they can develop the personal and intimate relationship that will lead into the scam. You see he included his email right away. While you may think, well, that doesn't prove anything, that plus the language use tells those of us here you have a scammer.
