Hi,
New to the forum and I need some help with understanding a few things. I am currently chatting with a guy in the US Army, depolyed in Afghanistan for another 4 months. He emailed me some of the protocols they have to live by in the Kandhahar Army base. Some of the things makes sence to me but other does not. So if anyone in or previoulsy in the army can help me sorten things out I would be greatful.

This is what he sent me. My questions in bold letters beneat:

First, Whatever we are discussing here is very confidential and should not be disclosed to friends and relatives except very close ones. We have a very limited chance as to what we discuss thru the chat, so i am sorry if you always ask me things i cant answer thru here. This is to maintain a protected conversation between army members and their loved ones from the rebels spying to get our details online.

.Second, We are not permitted to use cell phones here, we only use TS2 Radio phone called Radio Frequency Therapy (RFT), that means you will not be able to reach me on phone until when we get your cell phone connected with my Radio Phone.
How does this work. I googeled TS2 radio but did not find the right info.

.Third, We are not permitted to use web cam here because we use customized computers and gadgets here and no one is allowed to have a personal camera while on base, that means you can't see me on cam while am on deployment, you can only see my pictures like i sent to your inbox directly some days ago. Some rebels always disguise as the one you chat with and always mark our face through the webcam and they can trace our camps when they want to do their suicide bombings, that is why the use of webcams or taking camera to the base was stopped for high security reason.
Are they not allowed webcams through secure chanells? Is it possible to mark ones face through the webcam?

.Fourth, Our profiles on social sites is being monitored and this may require our profile being suspended at times during the time we are on deployment.
Is this true? Monitored I can understand but I find it strange that they can suspend/cancel personal accounts like Facebook.

.Fifth, we are not permitted to take part in financial transactions here, even my allowances are being paid to our headquarters in the states and would be processed for payment when one is ready to leave the camp, that means i can't send money from here and no one can send money to me while am here. Please know that i dont need any money while im here for anything, so dont think all men in the internet are there for money. This was put in place because of the fake people that claim to be a member of the US Army and ask innocent people for money. I dont need no money here and cant ask you to send me any money here because i don't need it for anything.
Is this how it works?

.Sixth, if am yet to finish my peace keeping mission deployment here, i cannot leave here unless i have a beneficiary to file for a leave request for me, the beneficiary would be the one to receive my allowances on my behalf before i leave here to meet him/her. The person in the best position would be someone I am leaving here to go and visit which i would trust so much.
This part I do not understand. It seem strange to me that I have to file a leave request for him. I cheked the US Army official website and it stated that the only one that can require a leave is him himself.
If a request for leave is sent in do the US Army really need to know their soldiers where abouts during the leave?
Can someone explain the thing with the allowances? To me it seems strange that the allowance should be paid to someone else thant the soilder himself.

---------

I have asked for more information but has not yet received it.

I came across this person i Badoo and he had Houston, Tx as origin on his profile. When I asked how that could be when he was in Afghanistan he said that the traffic was relayed through the base in Houston. Is That how it works?

Thank you in advance.

He wants to avoid you telling people, in case they tell you you are being scammed!!!

Because it is made up - he is trying to get money from you to pay for the non-existent work required to get your phone to connect to his non-existent radio phone.

He can't use webcam because he is a black african in an Internet cafe rather than the white soldier that he claims to be.

A cover story for when his Social Media account gets suspended by Facebook etc for being a fake profile.

No, just another excuse to line you up to pay money for him - soldiers whereever they are have access to their wages.

More rubbish to get money from you - the military does not involve itself with random strangers on the Internet that soldiers are involved in (in fact real soldiers would not have time to be chatting on the Internet, they are doing a job). Everything is done internally - even proper husbands/wives of soldiers are not involved in the leave process.

He's 100% a scammer - just block his email addresses and please post his details here for other victims to find.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

Hello India L. Yes it is a scam. As soon as I saw the first sentence, it was clearly fraudulent. If you scroll to the top of this page, the site search function is on the right hand side. Type in the words TS2, military scam or soldier and the results that show on the screen will amaze you. The text that you posted will sound very familiar with the scripts you see. All these military type scams have a similar theme. I'm happy you posted the story because you have saved someone in the future.

Like the Other Two Posters have said yes he is definitely A Scammer,May I also Add that NO One is in Afghan on....peace keeping mission deployment..Except for West African Scammers that is.Real Military members have no time for such Crap they have Real Jobs to do Only Scammers have all the time in the World to chat and come up with ridiculous lies.

If You Don't Stand For Something Then you Will Fall For Anything.

Not Sure Who You Are Talking To Spokeo.Com do a people search on them.

US Military servicemembers DO NOT NEED your money for any reason they have access to their own money at all times.
