Soldiers that are deployed don't have time to look to date online. Any precious time they do have is spent reaching out to those they know (mom, dad, wife, kids).

Mamawbear, so glad you came here to check out that question. There are plenty of scammers posing as members of our military and many say they are part of a peacekeeping mission in Syria. Sounds fairly believeable because we don't hear much about this on the news and sounds like it could be true, right? As Ginger Lee said, this person is a professional liar. If you are on online dating sites, please suspect most of being scammers. And if you find any other guys telling you things and you need a gut check, come back any time and good luck.

Good instincts. Many victims ignore the small details that lead to showing the person they are dealing with is a scammer. It's especially hard if you've had contact that leads you to believe you're really going to have a great romantic relationship.

Oh yes and that make us feel so much better about that knife turning in our backs..LOL first time on a site and last !! sucks for all the single military (or not ) men and women out there trying connect. Thanks Again for all the Thoughtful words and advice.
