Another scammer has found me!!
William, 58 from London, widower with a son age 17. His profile has disappeared off the dating site, but his photo looked very familiar, not sure if I've seen it on scam site or maybe someone slightly famous. This is another one who writes good English!! but some of his phrases are already on here !! Are all these the same people or do they all write the same thing??
His profile was as follows:-

I'm young at heart, genuine, caring honest man. I can be serious but enjoy the fun side of life. I know who I am and I'm told that I can be very funny relating stories about my interesting life just by telling how it is!! I have been a single parent for a long time and have 1 little son who does not live with me. So free to be me!! I am open to trying new things. The bottom line is I am active and have a tremendous amount of energy to expend and hope to share that with someone special. The email header tracks back to Ghana (thanks Grunt)
I'm continuing with him as I'm using a false name and email address, but I will get some advice from 419eaters.
He says he's in the American army and in Syria?? for the next 3 weeks then returning to London to retire.
I don't know much about the movement of American soldiers, but I didn't think they were in Syria??
