Could you please give us a little more to go on, perhaps a copy of the email this person sent you which could give us a better chance of finding something for you.

The more we have to go on, the better chance we have of helping you.

As Ralph said, please post some of the correspondence with this person. Full headers would be helpful (remove your personal info), especially as it will help us to see if this person is using a mass mailer like the Bat! (a sure sign of a scammer).

A quick google of the address shows that it has been listed as a scammer address on some other sites. I am not familiar with those sites and whether they require evidence of scamming to list them, though. I would say, however, that the google results are an indicator that you should proceed with extreme caution until you have learned more.
