Scams re-targeting those who have already been victimized

Recently heard of Scam Busters to recovery money that was lost to a scammer. Referred to them by another on line contact,(from Romance Site), who said he was scammed and this group recovered $$ for him. Also said he referred another friend to them, and they were able to collect.
This company is out of Brazil, so I'm told. the email address I've been communicating with is [email protected].
Do you have any info on this group?

The free email address does not exactly give me a lot of confidence.

I have not heard of this specific individual or organization, but I can certainly say that we see people make claims like this fairly often. The vast majority are scams themselves, using bogus references to convince people to pay them for a recovery that won't happen.

The simple fact is, if you sent money by Western Union or Moneygram to a scammer, no private company can get it back, period. If money was sent through bank transfer, there is a (extremely slim) possibility that an external party with the right connections could get the bank to reverse a transfer--but from a risk-benefit perspective, I personally wouldn't even consider it.
