Okanagan woman loses $1 million in online dating scam

Early this year, the woman traveled to England to meet with a man who she believed was Field’s banker.

The two met in a London hotel room where the woman says the “banker” showed her millions of dollars in a storage locker.

I wish this story wasn't true.... it is

I've had to deal with this situation and it is absolutely atrocious that her bank let her send - $180,000 + in just ONE of the wire transfers.

She even went to Madrid and London to meet him - but he had issues and never met her. They'd talk on the phone - email.

Met him on match.com

Another life ruined.
