Hi, i have recently placed an add on Gumtree, looking for an apartment to rent. I was really taken when i had a response with exactly what i was looking for. Long story short, when i googled her email IP i found that it was a fake. Please people, i cannot believe society has gone this far, nevertheless, im giving you the best chance not to fall into this like i almost did.

This was our last conversation :

Peta, congrats on the newly weds ! Now is probably the best time of the year in the UK, so enjoy.

I am very interested in renting from you but i feel its important for me to at least view the property. I am overwhelmed with share accommodation replies, however, since i am a computer gamer and your accommodation offers me high speed in internet, i was hoping to give you a wee bit preference.

As far as your concerns about cleanliness, i never, ever eat in my room. The most probable reason for this is because i need my hands and fingers to operate my game and cant stand dirt on my keyboard. I might have a coffee mug on my computer desk while im busy but always wash up before i turn the lights out for the night. I think it would be appropriate of you to give me a heads up of your expectations regarding this matter straight up, so we are on par with each other.

Awaiting your reply across the waters . .

Welcome to Scamwarners, takenforaride!
I'm glad that you weren't fooled by this scammer. In order to help to warn others potential victims, please post more information, at least the email address that the scammer was using. The more info the better. :D
