A couple of things worth noting. First, the mule was a former scam victim, likely recruited by the very same people who scammed her to begin with. Second, there are some mules who operate under the assumption that they won't get caught, or delude themselves into thinking they are doing legitimate work. All it takes is for one victim to alert the authorities, and when they do, the paper trail will lead straight to the mule, not the actual scammer. Now a 74 year old scam victim will be facing felony charges.
