It happened when a woman returned to her car after shopping at the Tesco store in Victoria Road. As she was about to leave, a man tapped on the window pointed to the victim’s tyre, which had a nail in it.

It's worse because the scammer first vandalises the car and inevitably targets women who are most likely to leave their shopping and purse on the passenger seat which an accomplice can steal once the victims unlocks their door.
