It follows a spate of incidents where fraudsters are contacting victims by email claiming that they have to pay a parking fine when they have not been in the area at the time of the incident.

This is one of a series of mails intended to lure victims to download viruses that will compromise/take over your pc. Others claimed targets were being prosecuted and another contained bogus blood test results indicating that the victim might have cancer. The purpose being to panic you in to clicking a link/download an attachment that will download the virus to your pc.

The emails originate from [email protected] and have been spoofed to make it appear as though they have been sent from justice.gov.uk. These emails are not from the Ministry of Justice or GovDelivery.

The email contains a suspicious attachment where victims are asked to download a form for making a payment and photographic evidence of the parking incident.
