Victims of scam mail losing £10 billion annually in UK alone

The true scale of cash letter scams targetting vulnerable and elderly people in our communities is being laid bare by a local charity.

The group 'Think Jessica', set up by Marilyn Baldwin from Chesterfield, whose mother was tricked out of £50,000 by con artists, says the victims of the scam mail shots are being ripped off by £10 billion a year - three times the previous estimate.
