Two women are due to be sentenced shortly for their parts in a European-wide scam that led to more than €300,000 being stolen from eBay customers.
Cristina Manda and Georgina Draghici used fake passports to set up false accounts in several banks across Dublin.
Once these so-called "mule accounts" were set up, eBay customers looking to buy high-value items were then targeted.
Bogus items were advertised online, with buyers instructed to deposit the agreed amount in the Irish accounts.
The two Romanian women would then withdraw the cash and hand it straight over to other gang members.
