Identity thief jailed over £113,000 fraud

Theophillus Madekurozwa stole letters from unlocked mail-boxes at blocks of flats and the identities inside enabled him to obtain a series of credit cards.

He used the bank cards to buy high-value gift cards which funded a massive spending spree on designer goods including iPad tablets, iMac laptops and high-end watches.

His spending bonanza happened at stores near his home in Salford Quays and in towns and cities across the country including Edgware, Essex, Newcastle, Leicester, Coventry, Leeds and Liverpool.
