Courier fraud scam in Bristol area: Three charged

Three people have been remanded in custody in connection with a courier fraud scam in the Bristol region.

The criminals would phone victims and pretend to be a police officer. They would then persuade the victim to take out large sums of money from their bank account which they were then asked to send to a destination by taxi or electronically transfer to another bank account.
