Former estate agent Sumeet Vij, known as Sunny, narrowly escaped jail for fleecing desperate house-hunters out of more than £20,000.

Vij was jailed in January this year for six months for exactly the same offence and had only just served the licence period when he began re-offending. He was charged with seven offences in August this year and went on to defraud another six people of their deposit money while on bail.
