ARRESTS have been made over a telephone scam targeting people in Tamworth, but incidents are still continuing.
The con, often targeting elderly residents, involves a phone call from someone calling themselves 'DC Thomas from Holborn Police in London'.
Nationwide, the number of fraud incidents involving phone calls to residents claiming to be from a bank or the police has increased three-fold in the last year, estimated to have cost £23.9 million.
