I wish I could tell you it is real, but it isn't. It is 100% scam.

There is no job. Phone numbers starting with 44-70 are redirect numbers. They look like they are london numbers, but actually calls to them are forwarded to phones almost anywhere in the world, including several African countries (the atrocious English in this letter, with errors typical of an African, place this scam squarely in Africa. It also reinforces that there is no way this letter comes from an English company.)

which you will go through and sign then resend back for the issuance of your Hyde Park Hotel Visa Appeal Letter, which you will send to the British Immigration Visa Office to enable them put into effect perfectly on your visa processing towards the British Skilled Worker Eligible.

Your friend will be directed (via email or phone) to a fake travel agent or "Immigration visa office." There will be fees to be paid for (fictional) travel papers, either by WU or a bank transfer. If your friend pays that money, other fees may come up. Once it is clear that your friend isn't going to pay any more, the scammers will disappear.

It is a classic scam format. The written notices will change, but the goal is always the same--to get money from jobseekers who don't really understand immigration processes.

This scam is still active and I just posted an update on my website http://asianbuddy.co.uk/TypesofScams.aspx

This persons calls himself Timmon Ribbery or Timon Ribery, he uses two 'bogus barrister called Barrister Filbert Jerrell and Barrister Fredell J.Harry.

They use telephone numbers that are +447024037584 and +447045717133 as London Number but they are just a pager number.

He has used false ID to set up connection to the UK Visa Border Force and connection with the Department of Work and Pensions.

In the last 2 weeks I found with adverts in Canada, Philippines, South Africa and Saudi Arabia.

Any current information on this person would be most useful.

I'm not an immigration expert and UK visa regulations are complex and scammers like to take advantage of that fact.

However, I'm not scared of small print and there are some facts anyone wo receives this type of work offer should know. It will help them to avoid many of the scams they receive.

I am quoting information from this official UK government website

http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply ... ralmigrant

This section applies to non-EU (non-European) people want to immigrate to work in the UK

I won't give full details as I'm not seeking to act as an immigration advisor/expert, nor as a helper to any scammer who sees this page but this is one requirement that makes any request for visa fees by e-mail clear proof that it must be a scam.

One requirement

Your biometric details

Biometric details are scans of all 10 fingers and a full-face digital photograph. You will need to provide your biometric details in person. The whole procedure should take no more than 5 minutes to complete. Your visa application will not be processed until you have met this requirement. More information about biometrics is available on the Biometric data collection for visa applicants page on this website.

It is therefore not possible to apply for a UK visa online. No one can do this for you. You must apply in person to the local UK Embassy or their appointed Visa Application Centre, which you can locate on the website. Any money you pay to a person who contacts you by e-mail will be money you are throwing away, and that you will never get back.

Anyone telling you that getting a visa to work in the UK nowadays is easy is lying. Anyone wanting you to pay to get one, is a scammer.

Take care - and don't feed scammers your money.

Non-EU citizens should go here to find out about obtaining a visa to work as an au pair in the UK

Hi Usama,

Could you please post some of the emails you received, based on the information you have given us we can only take a guess and not give you any definate information.

For what its worth, it looks to me like there is something wrong but there is no proof based on what we have seen, copies of the emails will help.

Welcome Usama,

Did your email look something like this? http://419.bittenus.com/9/6/thereemhotellondon.html

Note that this is a link to another scam site. A quick search also shows several scam employment ads for the reem hotel.

Please stop all contact with these people, and as Ralph requested, post the emails and documents received from them so that we can help prevent others being scammed.

NECESSARY DOCUMENTS NEEDED FOR YOUR PROCESSING,,,,,,

Hello moonlight, and welcome to ScamWarners,

Yes, both of those nanny jobs are scams, and I'm glad that you were suspicious about them.

Please stop all communication with these scammers. They are only interested in stealing your money, and so will not be interested in your name and address or resume. A scammer who has your telephone number may phone you to try and persuade you that he is legitimate - refuse to speak to him, and end the call, and he will give up trying this in a short while.

He may, however, try sending you some more versions of nanny/au pair scams (using different fake names and different email addresses to trick you), so it is important that you know some facts about working in the UK:

If you do not live in the European Economic Area (EEA), you are not eligible to come to the UK to work as a nanny, paid a salary.

A person is permitted to come to the UK to work as an au pair (who is just paid pocket money) if they are an EEA citizen, or a citizen of Australia, British Overseas Territories, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, or Monaco. If you are not a citizen of one of those countries, then I'm sorry to tell you that you are not permitted to enter the UK as an au pair.

If you are eligible to come to the UK as an au pair, and you need a visa, you MUST contact the British Embassy in your country. If you are a European citizen, you do not need a visa to work in the UK, although Romanian and Bulgarian citizens are subject to some restrictions, and do need to check with the British Embassy. You can find the genuine British Embassy website by Google searching 'British Embassy' and the name of your country. Note that a genuine British Embassy email address will always end with @fco.gov.uk (and with no words or abbrieviations after that).

And please do not ever send money to any agency, embassy, lawyer, or other person introduced to you by a potential employer.

You have no reason to be afraid - just be on the look-out for similar scams, and, please, if we can help you investigate any other suspicious mails you receive, we will be happy to help.

thank you very much for the infos im gonna follow what you said.
but has mr. george savage been yet recognized as a scammer?
if not well i guess this is the right time for him to be.
i copy pasted his address on google then i was surprised he posted that fake nanny job on so many sites!
he's really trying to find victims,
i hope he hasn't scammed one yet.
i added him on my messenger list before i asked you about him,
then i get to talk to him on yahoo.
i asked if there were any other options like a salary deduction policy for my fees, then he said no.
then thats the time i decided to delete and ignore him on my list, i hope i wont get any messages from him anymore!
thank you so much for the advices, ill keep you posted when he sends me messages again.
THANK YOU!!!!!

Hi.
There are just too many scammers using different fake names for us and similar sites to keep track of. So you can't assume someone is genuine just because Google doesn't show him as a scammer.
What all these scams have in common though, is that they will ask you to send off money for visas, work permits, etc.

by rc2467 Sun Aug 01, 2010 9:15 am
I understand you've said the Reem hotel website is a scam site and apologies if this has already been covered but I've been reading this post with interest and followed the links to the website for this hotel (http://www.thereemhotel.co.uk) and it indeed, does look like a genuine hotel: photo's, address, etc.

It even comes top of the list on google (with the green tick beside it)! Additionally, beneath this link is another to reviews of the Reem Hotel - I have to admit, it does seem genuine.

However, there is no contact information on this website: no telephone or fax numbers, no email address and no hyperlinks to any other sites: affiliate sites, parent company (Crystal Hotel's PLC), etc.

In addition, the 'descriptive writing' of the site doesn't read right.

For example, "...hotel has been updated to provide a memorable and efficient stay..." or, "This hotel features 40 tastefully furnished modern guestrooms, all of which include among other amenities -". This might be good for some but, in my opinion, just doesn't read correctly.

If you goto http://www.reemhotel.com you will see the actual [I think, genuine] hotel's website including contact page, telephone numbers, links, etc. i think you will see the difference between the websites: it is a very good attempt to pass itself of as the real hotel to dupe potential guests into parting with their money.

The fake site will, no doubt, allow you to book a room (the payment server certificate is coming up as genuine with only the basic checks - https, certificate, etc.), I do however think that if you did want to stay here, it would be memorable for the wrong reason!

Again apologies if this has been mentioned but looking for these kind of things may help you in determining whether any offer, employment or otherwise, is genuine or not.

Best regards,

rc2467
