I am very proud father of one lovely son called Sean,who is 16yrs and I don't wanna be with someone for the sake of having someone if you know what I mean? Sean lives with me but he is currently in the boarding school until am back home from my military assignment.

I was born on 21-July-1960(Cancer) in New York City,Queens Village.My mom was British and Dad was American.I was the only child of my late parents. My late father commanded the 1st Cavalry Division in Vietnam and was killed July 7, 1970, when his helicopter crashed in South Vietnam while on his way to the hospital to visit wounded U.S. soldiers and my mother died in 1990 ! I'm left alone with my son alone who has been my source of happiness since my widow time ..

I was educated in the States and has always had high hopes of state and top military faces ever. I was been successful in my application and almost signed.I was a West Point graduate who rose to the rank of Sergeant Major and I have served in two wars (the Iraq War and NOW the Afghanistan War ).

I am a military brat, grew up on Army posts in the U.S. and in Germany and graduated from Boston College High School in Dorchester, Massachusetts. After high school, I earned my degree in international relations at Georgetown University's Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service and received my Master of Arts in International Relations at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver.


Now, I like most things, especially travel: United Kingdom, Europe and around the world, learn the culture of different countries. I've visited Canada, Japan, Morocco, Hong Kong, Cyprus, Bahamas, Turkey, Portugal, Greece, Germany, Belgium, France and Holland. In 2004 I bought a new car and drove from there to Germany 'alone' to see my son as he was at home sick, stopping to see friends in Germany, Belgium and Holland. It was an experience on the highways!

Over the years I have enjoyed meeting people from around the world and making new friends, and I also enjoy things like interior design, photography, swimming, music, cinema, theater, guidance, and any other thing 'is or sounds' as fun, pleasure, an experience or even .... giggles!

I also enjoy DIY, gardening, cooking and spending time at home the comfort of my home here in the 17th century, Brigg, North Lincoln shire, which I bought in September 2003..I have been living in Great Britain, Kent-Rochester with my late wife and my son for some years due to my work. I spent the first 18 months to renew a cozy home complete with cozy fireplace!However, I miss Tel ford and south of England because I like the relaxed lifestyle of NE. I'm not really sure that I belong here, since returning, or that the cottage is' home '.

In general I am a different company, a creative person, spontaneous, and tactile and even though I like the finer things in life, I am not materialistic, I worked very hard for what I have and appreciate it.

I hate to offend, can not satisfy the hypocrisy, racism and people are nice titling other in public. I do not like conflict or relationships be affected, but would have preferred a 'mutual understanding and respect' for each other. I do not mind constructive criticism and I believe in total honesty.

I'm a down to earth, caring, love, and loyal person with morals and virtues of my own, but rather open-minded, fairly easy going, witty, intelligent, and rather irreverent, sometimes ..... I'm quite humble and appreciate the little things in life that people do to me and that I am capable of doing for others. Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to make someone feel special, loved, wanted and cared for. For the right woman I would have given my all.

I tend to not ask for much, circumstances have made me very independent and proud, therefore, are not too hard to please! Surprisingly, most of them are pretty conventional too, and surprisingly I did not land in my area since the time I was alone, maybe because I like to share, enjoy the people and continue to believe that there is someone out there that I should be sharing rest of my life.

I try to cherish every moment of whatever I do, wherever I am, that never is with the value & everything I have.I'm a man who lives life as it comes to me. I do not worry about tomorrow because it will be here no matter what I do. The best days of my life are still yet to come when I meet a special woman. I can not afford to play mind games because it hurts me really a lot! Be through the worst pain in the report is not all that easy sharing with people simply because it hurts.

I was selected for the colonel, colonels were monitored Ground ', and as Commanding Officer of the basic functions Journal School.My included Deputy Director General for Operations, J-34, the fight against terrorism, Joint Staff, Washington, DC and President, Marine Corps University in Quantico, Virginia after his promotion to major general, I assumed command of the 1st Marine Division.

My rank assignments of companies included multiple platoon and company commander billets with both the 1st and 2nd Marine Division, Executive Officer of the Marine Detachment aboard the USS Kitty Hawk (CVA-63); series and company commander at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, aide to the Commanding General and Director, School of the Sea.

As a field grade officer, I ordered two companies of cadets and taught tactics at The Basic School, I have also served as operations officer for the 32st Marine Amphibious Unit to emergency operations off Beirut, Lebanon, and as Assistant Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff. Promoted to lieutenant colonel, he was reassigned to the 3rd Marine Division as Division G-3 Operations Officer before assuming command of 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines in January 2001.

My personal decorations include the Defense Distinguished Service Medal with palm, Navy Distinguished Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with two gold stars, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal and the fight Action Ribbon.

I graduated with honors from The Basic School, the U.S. Army infantry officers advanced course, the Marine Corps Command and Staff College and Air War College. I have commanded Battalion Landing Team 3 / 2 during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

In November 2006, I was promoted to Master Sergeant and assumed command of I Marine Expeditionary Force. The commands I Marine Expeditionary Force during two combat tours in Iraq. In 2009, I was reassigned as director of operations, J-3, Joint Staff, Washington, DC

Music: I like the soul, soft jazz, reggae, R & B, smooth groves, some country and some rock (not much tho '). My all time favorite artists are Arron Neville, Kenny G, Luther Van dross and Diana Ross. I, like so many of his difficult to choose. Fav Songs Theme from Mahogany & Strangers on the Shore

Movies: Action, thrillers and some comedies. I watch television every day rarely. My favorite actors. Hmmm ..... I like Wesley Snipes, Kevin Costner, John Travolta, Julie Walters, Sandra Bullock, Robert de Niro, Denzyl Washington, Samuel L Jackson. Fav movie Body Guard

Food: I can not say that there is something I like but if I had to choose something that would be seafood, I'm not sorry for fishing alone! I like trying new recipes and flavors so I can cook anything and like to experiment, but my best is steaks, roast dinner on Christmas Dinner sand I guess. I have a sweet tooth, I prefer salted, cheese, etc., but have a desert on rare occasions.

Fitness: Hmmm, I'm too heavy! I like to swim and cycle. (Once I had the hope of entering the London to Brighton race).

I like to write poetry and had a publication, I have a collection that should be collected in a book published .... and maybe one day?

Financially; I'm stable and independent. I always provide everything for my son that he needs in life to be what he wants to be. Luckily, I have my own fully furnish 5 bedroom house and two luxurious cars... so life is good. I feel like I've accomplished a lot with my time on this planet, but still see that life without someone special to spend with is sometimes boring.

Faith; I was brought up as a Catholic and went to church every week until I was 13 years old when I was allowed to choose for myself so I chose not to attend church due to some personal reasons. I believe in the Holy Trinity and I believe in the Word of God. I always allow God to be the first and last in everything I do, because that's how I was raised. I sometimes take my son to church so that he can at least experience some of the "ritual" and gain an understanding of the church, etc. I am not a racist and I wouldn't mind if you share with me about your believe. You can also tell me about your religion and the culture of your country.

Honestly, I have what it takes to be a man, I really don't need something from my partner perhaps in terms of circumstances, there may some kind of help from each other helps to make things right.

I would like someone to love and respect me for who I am, who loves to take my hand and surprise me with a kiss when they least expect it, or give me a wink across the room to make me I know she's thinking or give me a call just to tell me she's thinking of me ... Because I want to do the same thing ... I'd like someone who is fun to be around, likes to laugh, joke, enjoy the great outdoors by going for long romantic walks, enjoy watching the stars at night and watching the sun rise over the ocean.

I am looking for someone who enjoys the simple things in life, just as I do. I would meet someone special that I can grow old with, and you can always look in the eye and know that the love between us is just as wonderful and exciting as the day we met.

I'm in the military and have been working in the Army for 30years and I'm currently deployed in Afghanistan, Kabul (Kandahar) for Peace-Keeping,It's my last Mission here and will be getting ready for my retirement.I have been here in Kabul for 10 months and I'm now looking forward to return home very soon and peacefully.

He's using the above address. I've been picked on before and am fed up with it, so accused him and said I'd reported him. He has no shame, threatened me and his last email said:

These people are the scum of the earth

I have been scammed by this person and wish to report him as a dangerous individual....He had me going for nearly 3 months.....I was very suspicious at first, but he managed to " hoodwink" me........I heard from him 2 days ago....He is still working on me buying him a laptop!!!!!!!! ...His last message was about him just coming out of hospital after nearly crashing whilst going on patrol!!!!!!

His emails are very rehearsed, and you can feel something is wrong when he writes texts on skype himself....as the spelling gives it away.............

I got the same long letter as franadfram......He even showed me a picture of his "dead wife"........He does not care who he upsets and gets very touchy when you suggest he is a liar!!!!!!

I hope you didn't report the email address Fran.We keep these active to track scammers activities. See Terrence post below. He will just make another we can't find for a while so the job is harder because someone who searches is not warned off. As for the other one below from Olga

He is just a young dirty African boy and an inveterate liar. You don't have Generals anywhere on line hunting women and chatting on line nor do you have soldiers on active service and sundry officers either. So if anyone makes that claim and wants money or goods they are liars. They can just go and buy it like anyone else wherever they are. Main Army bases have shops,coffee shops, and supermarkets etc. Air travel for leave is free as well as leave, and nobody can just ask for them, nor have to pay anything. Pointless to confront this dumbhead scammer. Don't tell him or he will look to get his story better. Just vanish but make sure we have all the details of email addresses used, even the other fake people he pretended to be . That warns people and maybe someone will arrive and occupy the scammers time in a different way for no gain to him and just give grief.

Is there not some way of getting a warning on to dating sites about these scammers? They're quite easy to spot when people are made aware of how they operate. I communicated with one for a while the first time but even then thought he didn't quite ring true. The best defence is surely educating people.

It depends on the attitude of the site owners. I believe that some are co-operative, but others refuse to accept that there is a problem as that's bad for business.

I'm not sure what dating site you are using, but pretty much all of the major dating sites do have warnings about these scams. The problem is, they are usually in sections regarding fraud or security that many members never read.

Just wondered if it was possible to make the point to them how rife the problem is. I picked this guy up off Match - they obviously have passed my email around as I've had them off other sites. Match say they have a 'report a problem' button - I think, on the profile,s to report if they're suspect. After I exchanged emails with this guy - suspecting him and wanting his email headers, he managed to delete the emails he sent me, from the inbox on the dating site - which is worrying, and, of course, his profile - so then he couldn't be reported. The sites are not keeping up with these people. This is the second one to do these deletions on Match. I still, however, have the emails from Match telling me that he - and the previous one, had messaged me on the site.

I kept these emails in case they could be of use, but no idea if they can be used.

How can we find out who he is and warn him, that his photos are used in a scam???????...But then, When I saw him on skype,( without sound as he said the mic was not working!), he looked like this man, but told me he had dyed his hair black, when normally it is white!!!!....He was wearing the same watch as the guy on the photos though.............

I have to say I am not coping very well with this....I feel so stupid, as alarm bells kept on ringing, and every time I told him so, he was so upset and sending hopelessly- in -love -messages!!!!!!

What an insult to the guys in Afghanistan! He seemed pretty clued up on the latest war events, which was always convincing....and on Skype, there was the Afghan flag...The only problem was the time difference....It was always 1/2 hour out!...and showing am instead of pm.......

Have deleted him from skype....Was that the right thing to do????? ...or should I have played the game longer and obtain more information????

Deleting was fine. He will probably resurface with a fresh profile though. Just be careful and carry on following instincts. If you never pay money, or accept anything, you can't be scammed but best not to play with scammers.

They always seem just so 'perfect'!! They go on about themselves in a 'humble' sort of way yet have high-flying jobs.Frequently widowed (sympathy factor) and often have a child in boarding school. when my 'first one' started sending love poetry I did begin to question - he was supposed to be a surgeon general!! The identity was a real person so if you google them they can come up as genuine. when you've seen a few you spot the pattern. I get their email address, headers, and from that, rough location, and it said he's in the US. I've had one from Nigeria. They're not always 'military' but do work abroad. It's the 'too good to be true' profiles and emails they churn out - they obviously write to 'scripts' which they don't always put together properly. One guy's profile was partially filled in in a Scandinavian language - they're not always so clever. It's also easy for them to write words of 'love' - they're not talking face to face!

After I googled the first one several times, I came across reports from other women who he'd contacted - each one on a different continent, I think. The real guy's details were on some military website but I believe they were then deleted. you may get sucked in the first time but after that you can see the pattern

I have contact with this man, and have had it for four weeks. I tested him out on many ways at the beginning, but started to believe him after a while. He tells he have a son who is called Sean Carter Jackson, and he have arranged that I have contact with him by email- in case something happens to him in war...In the beginning I searched in Google to find out about him, but I didn't find anything about him them. He has asked me to buy him an Iphone, because his is not working - and he also need a sim-card in it. He also needed a laptop, but at the moment his son is having his birthday, so if I could send him a playstation 3 and an Ipad? Today I got a letter from Sean, and he wanted a playstation for his birthday..

I am glad I found this site, and I got the exsact same first letter as someone else here. All the emails I get is describing his love for me, and he knows just what he should say to me. He is going to come and meet me at easter, and he is also bringing his son here. But now I am warned, and I am not going to pay anything for him or send him money! His emailadress he use, is [email protected] or [email protected].
