Welcome to Scamwarners Roxana, and I'm glad you weren't scammed. it wouldn't have been a matter of working for nothing, but sending your own money to the scammer. Or doing something illegal for the scammer without knowing it.
I did google Adelaide Business Computer Services and it came back legite with no negativety towards the company.

I agree, but they aren't involved. scammers often steal the identities of genuine businesses.

I have to chuckle at the name they chose. Rick Perry is the name of one of the Presidential "hopefulls" for the Republican party. There surely are other people named Rick Perry and the contact person named Rick Perry is not a real person, it is the scammer. Scammers do use the name of people in the news for the name recognition factor.

Just was scammed as well. Same as all these previous postings. But from supposively a company called wEinstein Solutions. After I was given a task to write a 3 page article on "Best Ways to Prevent Overdue Accounts" it just didn't sound right. I thought I'd google the topic and I kept scrolling down until I came upon this Scammer page to where my surprise I find others that have been scammed from these no good people. Same thing, got an acceptance letter, had interview online from [email protected]. Same emails, etc. I knew it just didn't sound right! Please becareful!

Welcome to ScamWarners misslulerz. I am sorry to hear you were not treated right. I don't know how much you are out for the work you did.

In doing a bit of research, I do not find them to be a fake website created to scam innocent people.
Their website was created in 2009 and registered for 3 years. Scammers register sites for as little time as they can because they get closed.

They indicate they began business in 2008. They do not make wild claims about servicing the world like scams do.

It is possible a scammer used the name of wEinstein Solutions and pretend to be hiring you to work for them. What is confusing to me is, scammers typically want you to deposit a forged check for them and send them real money. Maybe what you wrote will be used on a fake site to scam others.

I suggest you check the headers, post them here so we can see if the email came from the UK where the real company is located.

I got the same type of email. Firstly I was thinking whether it is a scam, but I google the company and didn't find any related scamming information. But now I realize that they are changing the company name and yahoo message user name from time to time. But actually they might be the same person.
Always using yahoo message for contacting.
Always interviewing you via charting, not face-to-face talking or even telephone.
Always ask about the equipment, and say will send you a check to buy the equipment.
Always pay via check.
Always let you think it is a great job to get money.
Today is my second day for the so-called training, and the task is to write an essay about The Best Ways to Prevent Overdue Accounts using my own words. As I am not accounting major, I google this question and find the scamming page. I am glad I am not wasting time of getting up early any more.
Here is the email I receive.

Hello! I think I was scammed yesterday. It seemed quite legit until the lady sent me my first task:

Write an article on The Best Ways to Prevent Overdue Accounts using your own words.Each article must be at least 2 pages with examples. Time limit is 24 hrs.

I went to Google to search about the topic and this link came up. I read everyone else's posts and saw that it was very similar to this one. This is the original email I received:

Dear Applicant,
Your resume has been reviewed on (www.massreps.com) and has been forwarded to the Head of Operation of Arise Technology Company and you have been considered and scheduled for an online interview to discuss more about the job position that you are to occupy. You are required to set up a yahoo messenger account or download a Yahoo IM (http://messenger.yahoo.com/) on your desktop if you don't have one. After this process. you are to add Mrs Atonya Pharr on her Yahoo IM, email is ([email protected]) to your yahoo buddy list ASAP for the job briefing and comprehensive details. I did submit a resume to massreps.com so I figured it was legit. There is a check currently on its way via FedEx for me to cash immediately and Western Union payment to a company for the necessary software to put on the computer they are suppose to send me for this job. This job is suppose to be $20/hr during the week training and then $25/hr after that, with all the normal benefits.

I was a little suspicious when she told me to check out the company website (Arise Technology - a solar power company) and I looked at the career opportunities page and there wasn't any openings listed. But, I decided to continue hoping it was legit. Since they didn't ask for anything more than my name and address I knew it wouldn't hurt me, just maybe waste my time. So I called the company and it is a scam. This company is based out of Canada and they said they do not have any job openings and definitely not home based or in the US.

As you have already discovered, this is a scam.

The important thing is that you get out of this now. You have done nothing wrong at this point, and as long as you do not attempt to cash the check, you will be fine. Just ignore any approaches from the scammer, and shred the check, take it to the police, or if you choose to keep it, write FAKE on it in large, permanent marker so that it is obvious it cannot be cashed.

It's a scam, plain and simple. The same scammers have changed company names dozens of times, but they keep using the same fake interviews and tasks.
