Welcome Mouse!

What email address is he using with the new names? Is he using the same address for the transit forms, or has that changed?

I have this week been contacted by Sgt Aaron Harmon, who professes to come from Redmond near Seattle. Has a 12 year old daughter and is serving 7 months in Kabul Afghanistan. This guy is cruising MATCH.COM. Pictures posted looked legitimate, but as soon as he told me he was a widower and he kept taking a long time to answer certain questions I was posing (checking up on his computer no doubt) bells started to ring.

He is a smart cookie, as he as made a facebook page and listed himself on a school website in class 1974 but if you look at the dates all the posting have been in the last few months.

He did not ask me for anything, because I didn't give him the chance as soon as I saw his name on this website, I blocked him. What I have found with the scammers (this is my second time) is that they attack verbally when being questioned.

Welcome to ScamWarners smilingeyes10. Good to figure out the scammer. Is the information he used to contact you the same as above? If not, please post the email address and headers if possible.

Romance scammers, those who are trolling on Match.com and other dating sites typically want to get you emotionally attached to them before asking for money. Victims become emotionally invested, then the scammer wants financial involvement.

The delays were probably due to the volume of victims he was working at the time. Some scammers have people who write for them or they lift writings from websites.

You are correct, when questioned they go to anger, guilt and shame. Thank you for this information and reminder.

Rest in Peace 24 June 2015.

Hi Guys
1st can I just say thanks, What for, well having this site.
I too have been " emailing with a Solider" (yeh ok ). As soon as he asked for a sat phone I thought mmmm, not the direct approach this time no asking for money, interesting. So I checked out the website and guess what this fab site came up. WOOPIE and you confirmed what I thought so guess what ladies Im playing him along. But with a difference Im saying that I can have my brother deliver the said Sat Phone in person as my brother would like to meet the man who would like me to move to america with him, lets turn thoses shoes to be on the other feet.
And guess what Im gettin from my new Army Captain, " your brother doesnt need to be included in this," so Ive said its no trouble he's has a high rank in the US army and has no trouble at all getting this phone.

Ladies lets be honest to ourselfs would we give anything like money to a stranger in a bar NO so please if you feel like you being put in to a situation you dont like, just delet and block the email . But be warned he'll pop up again with a different name but the same sad sad story.....Or do like I do and play them at there own game. Say your goin to get a family member who is in the Army to come visit them ... Then sit back and enjoy the reasons this cant happen .

Welcome here Nutter.

Thanks for posting your story. We don't recommend playing with these scammers with your real live details, it would make it too easy for an angry scammer to find you. It is best to just ignore and delete the incoming emails from a scammer.

Being a victim doesn't mean you stand alone. We're here to help you.

Hello
i have been emailing and msning Sgt. Aaron Harmon for the last 4 weeks. I decided tonight to search him name online. No idea why, but i sure am glad i did. Imagine my surprise to find out he is a scammer. He tried to get me to email his Sergeant to request leave for him, using his 13 year old daughter as am excuse, but i said no. He talks the talk, saying the sweetest things and emails poems and says he loves me. His profile is also on another scammers website. His current email address is
[email protected]
i hope he is somehow stopped from scamming others, like he has me. I feel like such a fool

Hi nikkie07!
Welcome to Scamwarners!

I feel like such a fool

I'm really sorry that you feel that way. These criminals target unsuspecting, open-hearted folk and are very good at sucking people in with their lies. Please tell yourself that you are actually a very smart woman. The proof being that you searched his name online and found Sgt. Aaron Harmon of [email protected] is a scammer.
Well done! :D
