Siren, your boyfriend was completely right not to send the scammer a link to this information, by doing so you will have given the scammer valuable information to help him in his scams.

By far the best way to deal with a person you suspect of being a scammer is to completely ignore them.

I am about to send each of you a PM to explain why

Chaosart,

I'm glad you were able to see through the scam without wasting a lot of time or losing any money. Any time you come across a new one, stopping in and posting it here will help others to avoid it.

In general, we do not encourage people to send links to scammers to any site in which they are listed as scammers. If they don't know their information is here, they are likely to continue using the same name and script, and anyone who does a simple search will immediately learn they are being scammed. If they do follow the link and realize they have been outed, they are likely to make changes, and a real victim is more likely to come up empty in a search.

He used the name Rik Pruijssen but he used two different names in this first letter. He was willing to rent me an apartment for one month only and to fly over from UK just to give me the keys.
When I got suspicious he even sent me a scanned copy of Dutch passport written in the name Rik van Pruijssen!!!
Of course he was quite pushing for the payment and he wanted the full rent and the deposit ahead via Western Union.

Thanks, you ve saved my ass!!! :=)
