Hi Torontonian,

I'm glad that you thought to google the name when you had your doubts about your 'prospective landlady', and that you did not end up losing your money.

Thank you for posting this.

Similar thing happened to me...
Jet Ski for sale on Boatsales.com.au for $9,900
To cut a long story short I went through the same level of cr#p as many others on here.
Sean McGlynn ([email protected]) wants to use pay pa only...didnt have access to on line banking...working away from home...transfer 2000 bucks via Western Union to pay for shipping and I'll pay it in to PayPal...dummy transaction receipt from PayPal blah! blah! blah!
Thankfully due to their laziness and my wife's natural suspicious character, they used the Salazar Freight Forwarders who i googled and only found this link to ScamWarners and the Erith, Kent, UK address which sent alarm bells ringing as the ski was going from Western Australia to Queensland.
I've contacted PayPal, eBay, BoatSales and the police along with a nice e-mail to Mr McGlynn explaining the sale was a necessity to pay bills as I was recently laid off from work.
I'm not a particularly spiritual or religious person but I do wonder how these people sleep at night. Hopefully, they will suffer from night terrors forever and a day.
Keep my fingers crossed the others who have listed this Salazar person retains or gets their goods/monies returned

Welcome!

I'm glad you found us and were able to avoid the scam!

Scammers often create scripts and use them repeatedly, changing only a few details from one scam to the next, so if your emails are different, can you post the script you received (removing your own personal details). Doing so can hopefully help a prevent a few others being scammed.

I was selling my car on Kijiji.ca and I got an email from a man named Jason Kidman... He said he would be happy to pay the asking price for the car but he talked to the shipping company and they needed me to go to western union and pay the 1200.00 for shipping so he would send me the 2000.00 for the van and then send me 1200.00 for the shipping... I said ok and then he sent me this

Big thanks to NLangohr for posting about this "Jason Kidman" guy, you just saved my butt.
I posted a car for sale this week in ebay classifieds and I get an email from [email protected] asking about the car, more pics, and if I have a PayPal account. I respond with a little more info about the car and few more pics but I ask where the car is headed. He quickly replies saying that the car is going over seas and he would gladly pay the full price, he just needed my PayPal email address. I start getting a little nervous, make a call to PayPal and dont really get the right answers Im wanting. My wife scoured the internet and found "NLangohr"'s story. I was gonna tell him that we figured out he was a scam but I didnt want him to change his name/email. I ended up telling him that I was offered cash and couldnt do the deal with him.
Thanks to everyone here! I defnitely could've been a victim if it wasnt for this website.

This guy is still at it! he now has moved over to Kijiji, he replied to an ad i had on the site and proceeded to make me the most unbelievable offer on my ad. i got concerned as soon as shipping charges and western union were involved, started searching the web and found this site. Thankfully i told the guy to get bent and reported him to Kijiji, he now used the pseudonym Jason Solutions but the email is still
[email protected].
