Hi Bill,

I am abit confused. The dialogue doesnt seem familiar.
Is that a dialogue between u and the scammer?

The email that Bill posted was not scripted, the actual wording has been put together specifically for Bills Charactor, a very clever scammer indeed.

Try to look beyond the words and more to the style of the writer, the English in that message is quite good, very few mistakes, looking at the style of the writing, does it look similiar to your scammer.

I am presuming it should as the only reason for Bill posting that would be that it is him.

I can understand that this scammer would be quite successful, even for a native english speaker

Hi Ralph N Bill,

I was also confused with the english typed. Cos when the scammer typed with me, he usually always miss the "I" in the sentence.

for example, "am watching soccer and am going out later..." the command of language in the letter published seem better than here.

He been trying to talk to me these few days. I taken ur advice. I will wait for news on ur side.

One thing about China. He seemed to know Asia quite well. When I told him I got no money, he even asked me if I have any jewellery to bring to the pawnshop to pawn. I was abit surprised over his knowledge on that.

A question in my mind. Do u think he can be working with other ppl behind scene, instead of being the only one?
by Ralph Mon Jan 12, 2009 9:55 am
He could be working with others, many scammers work in groups, most romance scammers seem to work alone but of course there are exceptions.

Many scammers target particular areas for their scams, lately India and asia seem to be fast becoming their favourite hunting grounds, through emailing people in particular areas they do begin to learn more and more about the areas they are trying to scam from.

Sorry Confused/Ralph/readers,
when I read "I also have to think about something else than work..you'll understand me soon" I thought he was preparing the sick son story and I was hoping you would notice that his writing was familiar. I guess I have caught just another scammer there, his time table puts him way East of Nigeria, but it can just be an adaptation to his victims time table. I'll see if he brings up a sick kid, if not he can join the pile of the surplus next door.
I have a problem contacting Alexavier1 and all I had from him is a smile back, but that date program wants me to update ($) if I want to sent him a message. Any hints here would be helpful. As he must have the same problem I thought that the contact I made ^ was him. Alexavier1 was active online there this weekend.
That's it, if......... I'll report here.

only expressing my opinion, not handicapped by any knowledge what so ever, I've been scammed myself, but that's it.Think people!Anyone can be scammed, over the Internet or at the car dealers, there's no shame in that.
by Confused Mon Jan 12, 2009 11:40 am
Alexavier is very active in his msn id. Recently he has been online almost everyday for hours, especially during weekends. He seem to be operating on US hours.

u want to try to add him at [email protected]?

hmmm do u think u can come up with any reason for adding him?

he has not onlined on his yahoo id for a long time. but msn id yes.
by Bill3 Mon Jan 12, 2009 4:02 pm
I can't add him as a friend in Singapore date site and I already abused his email addy at Hotmail for one email he didn't respond to. On that website there's no way to sent a message to him without upgrading account or getting more friends (ITP) so I will not do that. He has to establish contact now, but if he doesn't there's nothing I can do but get the old Ubuntu computer running and meet him in a chat program with a new character, get a prepaid phone and play him from there. The easy fix for your doubts is now growing to a quest and I'm wondering if I have time to do that. My only reason to start this was to help you see how smooth they operate to soften their victims, now I only want to invite him home so I can shoot him and dump him in the back 40 so the coyotes have a good meal.
I'm past my goal, you now know for sure he's a criminal and won't get pulled in again.
(I'm past my goal is that even English? , but you get it)
We'll wait what he does for now.

All concerned,

I asked for help in baiting this turd and Bill gratiously offered his assistance, he is right on 2 counts there ^^^ Confused has fully accepted that the scammer is no better than coyote food.
And this scammer is one of the smarter ones.

Hopefully we have planted enough seeds for otrhers to see that he is a scammer as well.

Thanks Bill and thanks Confused for the information you have provided

I still hope that Bill gets what he is asking for

I still hope that Bill gets what he is asking for

he is on my love list, that's for sure, I dropped a new girl, a tad older, on a website he frequents and see if he needs cash fast, then I can help him. I'm a bit busy at the moment, a former "friend" surfaced again on a new site with a new name and he needs some special care too, but don't worry they all get their turn once they're on my love list.
Meet my new girl
Image it has been deleted by me as it showed up in TinEye and I don't want to make it too easy for my new friends :D

I wish if I had known and searched his phone number before I got scammed by him!!!!!!!! I am scammed by the exactly same person, exactly the same story!

Please check out the below website.

I have also made a report to Singapore Local Police as well. Can I confirm with you if the person you sent money was Michael Cole in Nigeria? I got a few names from this scam, and I guess this is the only legally exsisting real name as he needs to go and show his ID to get the money.

Alexander Danny Crane
Hitch Crane (I never got to talk to him, though)
Armstrong Watson (who claims to be Hitch's doctor)
Steve Lar (who claims to be a director of International Payment Monitoring Agency)
Michael Cole (who is the organizer of bone marrow auction and receipent of the money)

Hi akoastac

Welcome to Scamwarners, I wish it could have been under different circumstances, unfortunately, any money you have sent is lost and gone forever, they may contact you again pretending to be law enforcement and tell you they able to get you money back.

Please send no money to anyone.

Please note that scammers use false names, many scammers use the same name as this one in their scams ad have no trouble at all in cashing Western Union payments with fake identification

Unfortunately, contacting the police will have little effect, scammers hide in internet cafes and the details they give you are completely false

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask

Hi Bill and Ralph,

I just noticed you guys were contacting Alexander (Alexavier1) via Singapore Expats website but never took action to deactivate his account. While you were playing around to get contact with him, I know at least myself and another lady who got scammed in the exactly same way...

He has created another account with Alexsmoothened and was trying to get another victim.

I have already contacted Singapore expats and asked them to deactivate the account and monitor the photos of him before the approval. I have also reported to facebook to close his account too.

I wish if you could have done the same, too! Then you could help not making additional victims! I strongly suggest not to play around with those scammers, but give advice to the victims to report to the source of the website/tool to immediately close the account of the scammer. At least, this will help to not to create additional victim on the same account. Probably the scammer will change their photos, phone numbers and try everything to re-do the whole thing. But at least, there won't be anyone getting scammed in the same time on the same account.

The biggest problem with closing their dating profiles is that they simply create another which takes only a matter of minutes.

By having their details made public we give their victims the best possible chance of finding the truth before losing money and a closed dating profile means that we all lose access to them while they are free to scam unhindered.

Yes, we do play with them, we do it for many reasons, the least of which is to have fun, we spend many hours gathering their scripts and making them public, we put up their email address, we waste their time and de-educate them.

I understand your frustration, but had we reported the account for closure, he would now be using a different name and the information here would not be available.

Please cease all contact with him and be aware of persons saying they can get him arrested or get your money back, these will be scammers as well and simply trying to get more money from you.

We do have years of experience in what we do here and while the reasons for our actions may not always be apparent, we do have reasons for what we do and the first priority is always to prevent as many people as possible from being scammed

Editing to add
At least, this will help to not to create additional victim on the same account. Probably the scammer will change their photos, phone numbers and try everything to re-do the whole thing. But at least, there won't be anyone getting scammed in the same time on the same account.

This is completely true, you would have instead been scammed by the same scammer using a different name without the chance of finding the truth here

I'm sorry to hear you were scammed. There's no chance of getting your money back I'm afraid and you need to keep an eye out for the recovery scam. The scammer may contact you again claiming to be from the Nigerian authorities and to be able to help you for a fee. It's just another attempt to cheat you.
akoastac wrote:Iand I guess this is the only legally existing real name as he needs to go and show his ID to get the money.

It won't be his real name. Standards of security in WU offices in West Africa are poor, and not that high anywhere. It's only ever meant for sending money to those you know personally, in which case it is secure enough.
