Thank you for that information.

Please dont take offence by this but you really need to change your ways online, you need to guard your personal details and not post them or provide them publicly.

When meeting people online, you should always expect they are a scammer and dont hesitate to ask us if you have the slightest doubt in your assessment.

I would also suggest editing your post at Delphi if it is possible otherwise you will be swamped with scammers contacting you.

One you know they are scammers, please do not approach them or reply to them, you do not owe them any explanation, they are criminals who were only ever interested in stealing from you.

Throughout our forums you will see ways to remain safe online, please take note of them and be doubly careful, some scammers out there are extremely good at there job

dear raphly....

ok..i be careful this time, but i have one question, can scammer also change their identify self passport or I.C with other innocent people? it's kind of wonder in my mind about identification of a person by using their passport or I.C....

Motive77,

We see fake passports and identity cards all the time! Scammers will get a copy of a real one from a victim, then will edit the photo and the name in photoshop, and send it to the victim as proof they are real. Unfortunately, you can NOT trust a passport or license as proof of identity--in fact, if someone you are talking to online offers to send their passport or ID to prove to you that they are real, you should assume they are a scammer, because real people use common sense and do not offer to provide copies of their passport due to possible identity theft.

Hi again Motive.

Everything a scammer says is a lie, lies from first to last.

Every picture and every document is also fake.

Names are not real, and changed often.

Life history, locations and circumstances are made up.

Any addresses are also bogus.

All that a scammer wants is the money they hope others will send to them.

They have no scruples whatsoever - they even pretend to have children that have accidents.

They are quick to fall in love and have others love them, but it is all a sham.

On-line relationships are not REAL relationships.

Anyone can be anyone, any age and from anywhere.

One thing I would strongly suggest is that you change your mail address and phone number - and only give the new ones to people you CAN trust.

Also as Ralph correctly posted - please do not take offence - but the net is not and has never been - nor ever will be safe, but by taking precautions you can stay safe - and also learn others to be safe.

The sad truth is, for every real profile you see on the internet, there are numerous false ones pretending to be your perfect mate and using photographs stolen from modelling or social networking sites. The people in the photographs are as much victims as the people who get scammed for hundreds, thousands, even tens of thousands of dollars. Internet romance scams and other related crimes are very real, and they are affecting -- even ruining -- lives throughout the world.

The best weapon against this crime is education. The more people that are educated in the ways the scams work, the harder it is for the scammers to make money and the more scammers that can be put out of business.

Please post any questions or concerns anytime - we will help all we can.

i can't believe my eyes....I have been scammed again by the same guy....

I meet a new guy by myspace.com, we uses web cam to communicate together as i though that it was a safe way to see him but it was not. by a week , he ask me to be his girl but when he called me up , his voice was like familiar sound like i have heard the voice before. the name that he use is Michael rubins.

his phone number is +44071836857....

his email is [email protected]....

thought i was safe in hands with him but I as not. he say that he sent me a bank note by bankwoolwich that contains of $85,000.00 and demand me to retrive it by paying the taxes of $1,255. I told him i was afraid to receive the money, but i do my research after i had finished chating with him. To my suprise the one that he sent to me was a fake bank note....I didn't want to sent my money since it was a fake bank note as i found this website.http://www.fakeutilitys.com/id4.html.....just to make a fake geniuine bank note ...just have to pay $60.00 GB.

When I refuse to pay him, he thereon me that he will sent my personal recoded video that he recored while he and me video conference and demand me that i should pay him by this friday or else he will expose my video to the whole world and sell it to the internet.

his phone numbers - from uk - 447031836857......

i tried to remember of his where did i heard from and realized that he was the same guy that uses the name of "charles...". he is the same man....i didn't like the way he treated me in that relation.

i was foolish to believe that he was a different man....

how can i know that by using web cam is safe now?

but i meet another guy also from england, he wants to help me in capturing this scammer but i aslo do check up on him for to make sure that he was not a scammer and he wasn't. ive check on the place that he lived, which was truthly in uk. i use google earth to see him. his name is James mark, his phone is +447031847621....but i havent see him on the web cam yet....but we're just friend that tries to help each other.

Hi Motive

I see that crispy is sending a response as well so i will be very brief for now.

This person that is helping you is also a scammer.

Please post the emails from these people and we can show you some proof.
by motive77 Thu May 13, 2010 7:23 am
him....? a scammer? James mark a scammer?, how can he be a scammer when he wants to help me in killing the guy that wants to expose me? he showed his home to me.. as i see it on th google earth?...

his email is [email protected].

please show me how...can he be one of them?
by Ralph Thu May 13, 2010 7:28 am
I can do more investigation if I had his emails and the headers from his emails but.

The one obvious sign that you have already posted is teh phone numbers
4470 numbers are a UK redirect service, what that means is that anybody from anywhere in teh world can set up one of these and then appear to be in teh Uk while in actual fact they are in Africa, somebody who actually was in teh Uk would have no need for this service.

I have not yet searched on the email address but, the two first names while not being proof is common for scammers as well

Please post some of teh emails he sent, in particular the early ones and I would be fairly confident in being able to give you more proof

ralpy....

I forget how to the e-mail head.... can u check on my e-mail....

i'm giving you my permission to seek in my personal e-mail as they are in my e-mail in box.

I have removed those details, the last thing you need is every known scammer to have this information - Ralph

by Ralph Thu May 13, 2010 7:52 am
Motive

I have not yet looked in your email account, I actually prefer not to but I will in this case as i have been able to confirm that it is yours through previous emails, it certainly is not something we would normally do.

As a matter of urgency, change the password of anything that shares the same password as your email account.

Next, Create yourself a new email address and dont give it to anybody, this is very important, I will get back to you with more information shortly.

The video, I will work on that too but cant make any promises

The IP of the person trying to help you shows that he is not in the UK, he is in Malaysia

115.135.88.147 Malaysia (Petaling Jaya)*

More coming shortly

The email from the person sending threats is from the same place

118.100.253.75 Malaysia (Petaling Jaya)

They are most likely the same person, if not, they are from the same group of scammers.

It is essential that you stop communicating with them immediately.

I have some ideas that I would like to discuss with some of the others here before going ahead with any plans.

Motive, you have a PM

Please read it and get back to me as soon as possible

BTW, the 3 person you have mentioned here also shares the same location, 115.135.88.147 Malaysia (Petaling Jaya)*

I am almost certain they are all the same person
