Mr. Butterfield is back again - he calls himself Micheal (yes Micheal) Butterfield right now and use ichatusa.com. The new E-mail Account he use is [email protected]

He use the same pictures I've seen on this page, and he told me the story that his wife died in a car accident in the UK. He said that he has a son called Calvin who lives with his aunt in the states. Told me also that he is in Libya for the next six months, after this mission he want to settle down to find a new wife and a beloving mum for his son. He send me also 2 very, very, very small pictures on of "him" in uniform and one Family picture with his wife and his son.

So far he has not asked for money but only talked about how much he wants a new wife, new love and a mother for "Calvin".

Well ladies... he has changed his name and email addresses, he is now using Windows Live Messenger and goes by the name of Darren Butterfield. Although in one of his emails he must have forgot and signed off with Michael. He is using [email protected] and also [email protected]. I can only hope that this guy/or thing whoever it is, is stopped... Thank goodness I found this site and saw that I wasn't alone. There are other photos he has sent me. I feel sorry for the real person in these photos and also for his family as in one of the photos he is wearing a wedding ring. Although he told me his wife passed 4 years ago while he in Iraq, I said what you were in Iraq and they didn't let you go home to see your wife? He said he didn't want to talk about it and he was ready to move on. This was my first alarm bell ringing!

He asked me last night to send him a cell phone... I of course have declined on that one and suggested he get his sons to send it to him. And strange this person/thing hasn't logged on tonight for our usual chat... another alarm bell ringing.

I live in Australia, and wow can't believe it but he is part Australian and part American, and he wants to settle in Australia with .... you guessed it ladies .... ME! Alarm bells are deafening at this point in time.

I can only hope that other women find this site like I did very soon into talking to this moron and yes like some of you I also mentioned that he sounded too good to be true and I said outright was this a scam.... no of course not he said and he was offended.

Sorry should have said I met the moron on oasisactive.com under the name "divinepleasure88" ... he soon got me onto Messenger... He is probably still going to contact me as he is unaware that I know he's a scammer but I have deleted all contacts with him and blocked him, how do we get this out there for other unsuspecting women? I too have unfortunately reported him on OasisActive but he hasn't used that profile since reeling me in.

Oh and as for where to send the cell phone (if I didn't decline) well he has to ask his General Master (or words to that effect) for the postal address.

Anyone who gets sucked in by these morons, you are human and we all want that one special person in our lives, but like I thought at the beginning of my talks with this prick, it felt too good to be true and you know the saying "It usually is..."

Welcome to ScamWarners MissMelG. I am glad you have realized you are dealing with a scammer. One point to remember is the actual scammer is NOT the person in the photos. Scammers lift photos of real people and use them in the scam to represent them self.

The actual person you have been corresponding with is usually a young man in his mid to late 20 who lives in West Africa or Malaysia and spends all day trying to trap victims into sending him money. The people in the photos are in no way related to the scammer. That is why we deface the photos.

These stories sound exactly like mine! The only difference? This one is "Michael Jesse" and his email address is [email protected]

This guy tried to get me to send him money too. He's using the name Frank Butterfield and he is on speedate.com. please please do not fall for this Guy..he has the same letter posted about being a widower and how his kids live with a nanny somewhere. He told me he needs money to get things while he's in Afghanistan the military doesn't provide and he needs some to help him get home. He says he's a God fearing man and he's only looking for the woman he can cherish and love for the rest of his life. Please be careful..this Guy is bad news.

Same pic on speedate.com....and has a Facebook account under Frank butterfield too. He's trying to get unsuspecting single women to send him as much money as he can get. I feel like such an idiot.

Welcome to ScamWarners karenlee, I am sorry you were tricked by a scammer. As you have discovered, real soldiers do not need money to pay for ANYTHING. Scammers lie and lie and lie. They just want to get money.

Please post up the email address this scammer is using. It will help others who are searching by email address to see if they are dealing with a scammer.

He must get stopped this mad man!!! I understood he was a fake when he staterd to write me loveletters and suff when we didnt even knon each other and when he asked for money I reported him to facebook .
