Just to warn anyone using Craigs List to find holiday accommodation in London. There is scammer calling himself Edgar Davidson and Edgars Davidson who is advertising vacation apartments, flats and houses for holidays which he does not own. His email is [email protected]

The phone and fax numbers will be familiar to followers of this forum as they have been used on scam websites previously. Tel: +44 (0) 7519569598 and Fax: +44 208 181 6081

Anyone who knows London will not be fooled by these ads (one for an apartment with the address of the West Ham United football ground) as they are full of inaccuracies eg Sloane Avenue is an easy walk to London Bridge station - its about 4 miles. But of course, if you are renting an apartment for a holiday in London, you won't be able to spot that. He tends to find an address in London, mix it with a description of a holiday apartment stolen from a legitimate ad for a holiday rental and then cut the price by 75%.

No website to take down, but I hope the search engines find the warning that Edgar Davidson of sereneapartmentrentals is a scammer, fraudster, con man, trickster who will take your money and disappear.

Hi Cargus,

Could you please PM or email a copy of the headers from the emails you were sent which will be a huge help in proving that the site is fake and help to get the site closed down.

If you dont know how to pull up the header, let me know which email provider you use and I can give you instructions.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention

There's a downward pointing arrow to the right of the "Reply" button on the righthand side of the screen. Click on it and select "show original from the drop down list. Then copy and paste it as far down as the actual message.
Please delete your email address befor copying it here. It usually appears more than once.

Thank you Cargus

Pm received and replied to

I have passed on the information to the site killers who, thanks to your information, will hopefully have that site down shortly.

Unfortunately they will open a new one but this is not such an easy process, it costs them money, takes up their time and the site being down will alert many victims.

Well done :=)
