Room for Rent Scammer - [email protected]

I got this the other day and replied back that I knew it was a scam...BUT then this person actually had the nerve to IM me on AOL! I asked who this was and he or she said Yolanda Maria...that isn't even the name he/she said in the email! LOL

I was in my final year when my mum died,i lost my dad before i was born,I grew up with my uncle...I ve dream to be a medical doctor but i liked my uncle's work He works for Ross Fabrics Limited ,a research organisation besed in United Kigdom and Germany .Just some few weeks ago,My uncle traveled to Germany and he told me if i'll like to travel with him,But i thought of seeing him in Germany before i come ,since he went on making researches.

Am sure You 'll really like the person that i am ,because i will also do the dishing if you like,I work when i am to and relax when i am to,I also like sharing my thoughts also....paying rent on time will not be a problem as i will also be making the rent fee before the month ends....But my uncle will be helping me for the first Three months ontill i can aford to pay it by my self.
So i planned to move in by the availability of the room..I'll also want to see more pictures of the place .
More so,if there is any form am going to feel,you can send it for me to view,so i will tell you if am ok with it or not,then i will fill it once i arrive.Cos,is better to do that physically.
Well the mail reason why am moving to this lovely area is becourse i have been here once with my mum,if i can remember it would have been more than 6years ago.cos i can remember that we both came to see one of her friend who was very hill then and latter died.we stayed for one week and ever seince then i have come to love this area and will love to start my life jurney here.
I must confess am comfortable with the price and I will want to secure the place down before my arrival so i will want you to tell me all about the place,as i can't see it before my arrival but the pictures...I also will want you to know that i have my car that i will be coming over with,and little of my furniture,please let me know if there will be room for them..

Welcome to Scamwarners, and I'm glad you recognized this as a scam so quickly. There are several tell-tale signs, aside from the dodgy English. Here are just a few:

-- "when i get to your area"
Scammers don't get specific about details because they use the same form letter to hundreds of potential victims, in many different places. This sort of vague comment is typical.

-- "He works for Ross Fabrics Limited ,a research organisation besed in United Kigdom"
To call a fabric company a research organization is quite a stretch! No comment needed on the bad spelling.

-- "Phone: +447024044288
Fax: +44 7030403330"
Phone number with English country code (44) that start with 70, as these two do, are always "redirect" numbers. That means that they can be programmed to forward to any phone, anywhere in the world. Scammers love these numbers because it allows them to look as though they are really based in the UK, while calls made to those numbers simply forward to west Africa, or wherever the scammer happens to be located.

Another standard ploy: no quibbling about the price even though they know absolutely nothing about the place (or the "item," in the case of purchase scams).
