If you are corresponding with someone who says he is serving in the military and he asks you to pay money to him OR anyone else, then he is a scammer, plan and simple.
If he hasn't asked you to send money to him or anyone else but he has done any of the following
-asked you to apply for leave or retirement for him
-asked you to suscribe to a satellite phone service
-asked you to send gifts like phones, computers, gaming systems to him or "his child."
-told you he has a child who is being cared for by a nanny
-told you that he doesn't have an AKO address or that he can't give it to you
-told you he can't access his money where he is
-told you that he has to pay money in order to get leave or to retire.
-told you that for security reasons he can't be on webcam or on the phone
Then it is absolutely certain he is a scammer.
These scammers are criminals. If you have been in contact with this scammer via a personal email address or have given him any personal information about yourself, then just cut off all contact with him. Do not confront him, or ask for explanations. Just stop responding to him and ignore any and all messages from him.
