After much emailing with the above person, he seemed ok and trustworthy. So I did a wire transfer to pay for the goods (stupid I know). Nothing arrived except eventually a demand for a further $200 otherwise shipment would not be made. I did not send any more money and of course now he will not answer my emails. So, everyone, beware this scammer.
